Tested on amd64 and i386. Looking for OKs to commit this when
ruby 2.0 and jruby 1.7 are committed.

The conditionals to check for mismatching flavours are getting a bit
unwieldy, what do you think about doing this? or is it too much magic?
(other minor change compared to your diff is that I lined up whitespace
in the block of lines like .if ${MODRUBY_REV} == ... / MODYRUBY_LIBREV
/ MODRUBY_BINREV).

 considerations.

Excellent. In the case of jruby, it can (once updated to 1.7.3) use the
1.7 invokedynamic instruction. What that's worth...

Ahh. In that case I will defer to Jeremy regarding adding support
for 1.6 or keeping things as is.

Maybe a bug in documentation for BIOCTL(8)

2013-03-07 Thread Lars Engblom

Hello,

After reading BIOCTL(8) I found this line:
Use of the CRYPTO RAID 4/5 disciplines are currently considered
experimental.

After I have been reading this thread, I realize the documentation is
probably lagging behind:
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.os.openbsd.misc/192747

Crypto is still mentioned as experimental even though one year ago it
was considered stable. How is it with RAID5?

I will probably have to install a server to receive backups from another
backup server. It will need to run RAID5 and accurate manual pages are
critical for me when I pick the OS. Most of our server are running
OpenBSD and I hope the RAID5 support is mature for real use.

Regards,
 Lasse

unbreak lang/go - use new __tfork syscall

2013-03-07 Thread Joel Sing
The 1.0.3 release of lang/go makes use of the old __tfork syscall, which was
recently removed by guenther@. The attached diff makes lang/go use the newer
version of the __tfork syscall. Additionally, switch to __set_tcb instead of
using sysarch, which allows for the removal of systrace.filter (well, at
least the contents - I'll delete the file once the tree allows).

Passes regress on amd64 and i386.

ok?

P.S. Upstream tip already does both of these things and I had been hoping that
Go 1.1 would be released before guenther@ removed the obsoleted syscall!

WIP: UPDATE: ipython

2013-03-07 Thread Edd Barrett
Hi,

A work in progress update to ipython 0.13.1.

 - Requires the py-matplotlib update I just posted.
 - Fixed share/examples being a regular file (emacs config)
 - Added README detailing new soft RUN_DEPENDS. It's not fair for people
to pull down QT if they are just using the console functionality.
 - Generated documentation and installed it. This is a bit hairy, see
Makefile comments. Apparently upstream might move away from sphinx at
   some point.
 - Install examples.
 - Install desktop files.

This adds some new modes. Try:
  ipython qtconsole (qt gui)
ipython notebook (web-based notebook interface, like wxmaxima)

The problem I have with this at the moment is that by changing
share/examples from a regular file to a directory, I break the update
path:

---8---
=== Updating for ipython-0.13.1
Upgrading from ipython-0.11
mkdir /usr/local/share/examples/ipython: File exists
Fatal error: Installation of ipython-0.13.1 failed, partial installation

share/examples/ipython is in both the old package and the new package's
PLIST.

I am guessing that the package tools scaffolds an empty directory tree
before copying files in. I have not had time to investigate.
