Re: Changing Plug-in Parameters with VoiceOver
Well, I use my focus 40 braille display. The whiz whells will let you change a value and it's a lot easier to roll it wheil playing to hear a change. Gord -Original Message- From: 722 Sent: Friday, July 08, 2011 12:56 PM To: Pro Tools Accessibility Subject: Changing Plug-in Parameters with VoiceOver When changing certain parameter values the steps seem to be too fine, e.g. you have to press an arrow about ten times for an 0.1 dB decreasement. This behaviour can be observed in some Avid plug-ins (e.g. Normalize) and many third-party plug-ins as well (Izotope Denoiser etc.). It would be nice if VoiceOver could adjust parameters in larger steps (any known key commands for this?), the best solution would be a possibility to enter numeric values directly (this is mostly impossible because VoiceOver cursor position does not fit to the parameter position on the screen). Any suggestions to work around this issue? Jakub

Hi Okay so I was really wrong about which drivers to use. Let's just be clear that I haven't touched windows in exactly ten years. You want asio drivers not wdm. Have ASIO drivers installed. They work with other audio programs but Pro Tools just nags about no Digi/Avid hardware and quits without letting me configure anything. ASIO drivers should work as well, and i do believe is the prefered standard for pro audio on windows. WDM drivers are the generic windows drivers for sound cards on windows so if you can use them as your default system card, then chances are that wdm drivers has already been installed. Pro Tools 9. Windows 7. Ain't got Digi cards. How to make it work with other hardware? Possible?
Hi, First of all I must apologize in case my question's been answered but Safari is being busier than I am for some reason and I've got hours of audio to scrub through today. Anyways, read on the list sometime ago about Pro Tools 9 on Windows. Using JAWS cursor to access parameters that are currently inaccessible on Mac. There are quite a few preset libraries I'd like to convert using this workaround. My problem is that Pro Tools on Windows refuses to see any of my audio cards. Just says that no Avid/Digidesign hardware has been found and only lets me quit. I've got a MOTU 828 MKII and an Edirol UA-25 EX. Grapevine tells me I should be able to use these interfaces but it involves using WDM drivers. I'm a mac guy and hardly ever use Widows so I'm totally lost here. How does one go about getting Pro Tools to see 3rd party cards on Windows? I'm only able to find ASIO drivers for the MOTU and Edirol. Will put more time into it today but help/advice certainly appreciated. Have both Win 7 and XP installs. I'm not virtualizing Windows. Its running natively on my Dell XPS 9000 desktop.

Gary. Unhappy I have not a mac yet. I want the control surface to make the pos productions of the recorders that I made in the field. For this recordings a good EQ is required. Hi, I've finally had a chance to play with this. Slau's Command+Option+1 made the difference for me.
