Re: Focusrite Clarett software

2017-07-26 Thread TheOreoMonster
The Focusrite control software isn’t accessible but Focusrite support will
remote into your system and set it up for you and and can save some presets
that you can load independently if needed. Also the iOS app is accessible when
I tried it with my Clarret 8PreX, however once again you will need eyes to pair
the app on iOS to the Desktop app since the desktop app isn’t accessible. Both
your computer and the iOS device will have to be on the same Wi-Fi network to
pair them. Also FocusRite support can remote in and help you pair the iOS app
as well. The Clarrets are the best bang for the buck in the premium interface
side of things right now in my opinion.

Focusrite Clarett software

2017-07-26 Thread Nickus de Vos
Hi
I’m in the market for a new small and portable interface. I looked at
Focusrite’s Scarlett range right away since I’ve always liked Focusrite and I
had only good service from my Focusrite interfaces before. But then I saw the
Clarett interfaces are not at all badly priced.

Now the magic question, have anyone tried the control software and is it
accessible? From the looks of it there are certain things which can only be
adjusted in the control software. Also what about the iOS app, anyone tried
that?

Anyone tried ADX Trax, is it accessible?

2017-07-26 Thread Nickus de Vos
Hi all
Have anyone tried using ADX Trax or the pro version to isolate a tracks vocals?
I have a client who wants me to isolate vocals on a couple of his own tracks,
he recorded them a few years ago and lost the multitrack files.
Anyway ADX Trax seams to be the way to go, is it accessible?

Nickus

I think you guys are right. This guy's just probably not worth my
effort any further. I'm sorry to say.

Anyway, I appreciate you all's advice, really, I do!

I see, My hope was to give you an opening like...would you want this
artist to hear what you just recorded?
Clearly he has no grasp of marketing either smiles.
Kevin makes a valid point.
Is there any reason why, if he is not paying you, that you must answer at
all?
Better still, if he is a real friend, why you cannot say,
Look You are my friend and I want to help you as a friend. I like you
personally, but this stuff is not of quality, here is why.
He honestly might not be able to hear what you can, if he has trouble with
pitch.
Still, if he is serious about his craft, then he must be prepared to grow.

Granted, he did it in Reaper not PT, but that's kind of not exactly the point.

major headphone bleedover, so bad, I almost can make out each note
individually from the karaoke track he used.

the compressor plug would let him, and the attack as slow as it
would. Then, he set the threshold at negative 14DB, which
obviously means he's squashing the living shit out of things!
Worse is, he not only did this on his vocal, but he then
reduplicated it on the master fader as well. Aaa, my aching! ears!

about the 5th song he's sent me like this. I just don't think he's
cut out for a vocalist let alone a producer. OK, who 'em I to
