Flotools and Protools question

2018-02-17 Thread Christian
Hi all,

OK, so I’ve finally installed Flotools and Protools 2018 but I have a question.
Where do I set track heights to medium?
And at last, if my display language is not set to English US, but my keyboard
is set to it, is that fine or should the display language also be set?

Many thanks,
Christian

2018-02-17 Thread Andre Jarreau
Totally cool. Song takes on a whole new meaning after seeing how it was built.
And perfect pitch vocals didn't know there were two singers. Thought the one
singer could really pump the pipes.

Awesome email, thanks for sharing. Great stuff.

(putting on old guy voice, a bit like Grampa Simpson):

Attention aspiring musicians, producers, and songwriters who grew up
with ProTools. Listen to this, and remember that it was all done to
tape - no pitch correction, no snapping shit to the grid, and with
real horns! First, the song in full:

Now, let's hear some of those parts isolated and analyzed!

That was a huge POP hit in the 80's... does Taylor, or Sia compare?
Has what passes for pop music gotten a lot dumber in the past few
decades? Or am I just getting old and grumpy?

2018-02-17 Thread Vinny Pedulla
Hey Tom,
They are in the Pro Tools dropbox. If you’d like, we can add you… Let us know
if that will work, or I can just zip them up and send them to you as well.

Thanks,
Vinny

Hi Slau,

Thank you for your quick response.

Can I contact Vinny via this list or is there another manor to get these .tfx
viles?

Hi Tom,

There are presets available that were saved out to TFX format by Vinny Pedulla
on this list. That would simply get to the factory presets without any ability
to edit the patches. Through Komplete Kontrol, however, one can access
parameters through the S series controller keyboard. It's a great library,
although I think the LA Custom Grand is inferior but the rest of the products
are fantastic.

Does somebody here use keyscape with pro tools or reaper?

I look out for you answers.

Re: can i buy protools2018?

2018-02-17 Thread Slau Halatyn
Sweetwater is a great place from which to purchase Pro Tools. Pro Tools is very
accessible and you should download the pdf manuals from the My Products and
Subscriptions area of your Avid account on Avid.com once
you've registered the software. Sweetwater's email after your purchase will
give some further instructions.

Glad you got it working. In the Mix or Edit window, Use VO+End and move
backwards until you see the element that says "Show/Hide Tracks List." The View
menu also has submenus for showing and hiding various elements.
