Re: New VOCR On Catalina

2020-05-01 Thread TheOreoMonster
Look at the read me for OCR where it tells you which permissions need to be
granted. Then open System preferences and go to security and privacy and select
the privacy tab. In there navigate to each category and make sure VOCR is
allowed under each manually.
You may have to unlock it by pressing VO Space where it says press to unlock at
the bottom of the window, and type in your system password before you can make
any changes.

Re: inserting midi events

2020-05-01 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Tom,

The MIDI Event List includes a pop-up menu to insert events at insertion.
Unfortunately, the line where the new event is composed is not visible to
VoiceOver. It's currently a registered bug with Avid but hasn't been fixed yet.
Fortunately, you can still enter the information but you'll be flying in the
dark for a bunch of keystrokes. Further, however, the MIDI Event List is
currently broken so you won't really be able to delete events, etc. for what
it's worth, after you've chosen to insert a CC event, the insertion time is
automatically listed in the compose row with the first field highlighted. Let's
say it's bars and beats. The bar field is highlighted. Pressing Tab will
highlight the beats field. Pressing Tab again highlights the ticks field. The
next Tab press will put you in the CC number field. Let's say it's expression.
You can type 11 then press Tab to get to the CC value field. Enter the value
and press Enter. That's when the event you created will appear in the readable
portion of the table. If you're doing pedal values, you can either type 0 and
127 or On and Off alternatively.
HTH,
Slau

inserting midi events

2020-05-01 Thread Tom Hessels
Hi All,

I tried to find a way to insert midi events e.g. midi control codes in to a
track but nothing seems to work. Is it possible to do that using the querty
keyboard? And if so, can some body show me how?

Thanks in advance.

Tom.

Re: how do i update pro tools on a mac mini?

2020-05-01 Thread Rory
Go to my.avid.com and sign in, then go to my products and subscriptions, can
either go by links in the web roter or just do a text search with VO F and type
my and use find next command (VO G I think) until you find it. Click the link
then find the pro tools heading, then go right a few times and voiceover will
say something like black up pointing pointer or something. VO space on that and
then go to the next heading, interact, and find the show link. Its the second
and the last thing in the heading. Hit that, and then go right til you find pro
tools 2020.3. Hope that helps.
