Re: App for cutting audio files
So a couple of thoughts: 1. You can always bounce a selected range rather than from the beginning of the session's timeline. You can select starting from the beginning of the audio until the end and allow for any reverb or delay tail. this keeps all of your markers and such in place. 2. What a lot of folks do is, upon bouncing, reimporting the bounced file back into the session (see the checkbox in the bounce dialog). With the bounced audio now in the session, solo it and do whatever edits and/or fades you need, consolidate them and export under a different name or just use the consolidated audio. That's the simplest way to edit and handle a bounced file. Further, you have a reference to the mix right in the session without having to do anything else. RE: App for cutting audio files
Hello Ignasi! If your project includes e.g. position markers and tempo changes, cutting starting silence will damage them. Further some space at the beginning of a session could be helpful for later editing etc. Best! / Martin > -Original Message- > From: ptaccess@googlegroups.com [mailto:ptaccess@googlegroups.com] > On Behalf Of Ignasi Cambra > Sent: Friday, September 29, 2017 11:44 AM > To: ptaccess@googlegroups.com > Subject: Re: App for cutting audio files > > But why can’t you just get rid of the silence before bouncing the project out > of ProTools? Re: App for cutting audio files
But why can’t you just get rid of the silence before bouncing the project out of ProTools? Otherwise a great option is Audacity. It works great for that kind of simple editing, and is completely free. Be careful though, because as far as I remember the latest version does not work with VoiceOver. On their website they tell you which version is accessible, so you should download that one. Amadeus Pro is also great and very accessible, but you will have to pay for it. RE: App for cutting audio files
Hello John André! Thanks for your fast response. I'll try "Fission". You might try Fission, it’s VoiceOver friendly and cheap. Best, John André -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Pro Tools Accessibility" group. App for cutting audio files
Hi all! After bouncing projects out of Pro Tools in wave or mp3 format. How do you cout the starting or trailing silence? Pro Tools of course could this. But is there a less over sized, Voice Over friendly way? Thanks and best! / Martin -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Pro Tools Accessibility" group.
