Re: Count Off?
Hi, try changing the presets in the Click insert of your click track. And if I double the tempo, any tempo changes I had will still apply, meaning if I go from 120 bpms to 80, if I try and double the tempo, it'll start at 240. Plus, any MIDI stuff I've entered will adhere to the new tempo. HTH, On 06/08/2012, Christopher-Mark gilland clgillan...@gmail.com wrote: oh, ok. As chris stated, you'll use the Create click track option in the track menu. The 7 key will toggle this on and off. The 8 on the numpad toggles countoff on and off. Under setup, there is a click/countoff option. I believe there, you can tell click to sound only durring countoff. Hope this helps. Count Off?
Hello All, Another simple question for those who can answer... I would like a count off from the time I hit record to the time when PT actually begins recording, without having sustained clicking throughout the recording period. Can I assume that this is achieved by setting up a click track? If so, how can I make the appropriate modifications? Best, Abdul
Re: Count Off?
In the track menu, at the bottom, it says Create click track. Then you can use numberpad 7 to turn the click on an odd, and you can chance the click style with the click plugin on insert 1 of the click track. What I haven't figured out how to do is double the click so you can be in 4 4, and have clicks every half beat. HTH. Re: Count Off?
I completely agree. I would love to know how to set up a count off, as the times I tried doing it, it didn't exactly work. It still recording right after i hit num pad 3 to start my recording. What I'd like is something like a 2 measure count in, where it doesn't even record anything during that time, meaning, if I tried singing or playing during that count off, so what, it wouldn't get recorded, and would be chopped off. I'd like something where by I could have a count off to the effect of: 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, ready? go! Thanks for any help. I second this question entirely. I wonder what I did wrong. Can someone in this context tell me step by step how to get this to work? Thanks. Still loving my ProTools by the way, and thank all of you for all your help over all this time since last March when I got it. Re: Count Off?
Can you not just double the tempo? If you want beats every half beat, then just raise your tempo to make it happen, or am I kind of missing your point, which is highly likely? Speaking of the metronome, I have a bit of a hearing loss, and even turning the click track way up, I still find that the ticking sound is nerve racking, at best, not to mention, hard for me to follow. Is there a way with a 4 4 time song, I could have beats 1 and 3 be a kick base drum, and 2 and 4 be a snare? This way the metronome doesn't just go tick? tock, tock tock, but instead, I get a ritch base? snare, base, snare. That really! would help my playing to have an actually drum beat I could follow instead of just a constant tick tock bomb in my ear. LOL! Kuhboom! LOL! J/K. Seriously though...
