I use a control surface now and again. But in the main I am working away from a static studio set up, so I'm just using the Mac. I'm not quite sure about the accuracy of selecting audio with the voice-over key and Space bar. It's difficult for me to tell the moment; I've only worked on a couple of projects so far with ProTools 11. So VO/Space does not work to select the track when you are on it? Thanks Matt, always nice to know it’s not just me going mad. I suppose the other solution could be to just add more tracks. I’ll give that a go in my next project. I’m only doing basic editing at the moment on one audio track. Thanks to this list and your excellent tutorials I have got up and running quite fast. I have seen this happen quite often and ProTools version 11. It does not happen at all and 10, and if I have multiple tracks in a project more than five or six, it typically behaves as expected. Slau, what about in the options list, the curser follows playback and all that jazz? I remember having a similar problem and you told me to check two things in that list and that's what it was.
