Re: Pro Tools and Flo Tools shortcuts
Hi Martin, There's not a huge difference between the two, agreed, but as always, these things are often so incremental. An automatic plug-in monitor wouldn't be a good idea, especially when you don't want or need the feedback. One often adjusts controls while listening to the results and verbal feedback would constantly chatter. Having the option to turn it on and off offers the best experience, at least under the current scenario. Re: Pro Tools and Flo Tools shortcuts
Ah! That explains it now. I had no idea you were on HD which, of course, is now Pro Tools Ultimate. OK, yes, that makes sense. Option Forward Slash only activates the plug-in monitor when the Plug-in window is open. Cool, thanks for clarifying. Re: Pro Tools and Flo Tools shortcuts
Hello Slau! I’m also working with HD for some time now but never came across the hotkey conflict until last week. Maybe I never hit Option+Slash in the wrong window before. Re: Pro Tools and Flo Tools shortcuts
Hi Martin, It appears that previously HD-only commands are once again making it into Pro Tools Standard. We always knew that the Option+Forward Slash command conflicted with the automation glide command in Pro Tools but, because most blind HD users have control surfaces, the shortcut wasn't critical. Now that the shortcuts have "entered the mainstream," so to speak, we'll look into whatever makes the most sense.
