Re: Session request

2023-03-16 Thread Chris Gilland
Wow! That is super super bizarre weirdness!

I wonder what on earth in God's name would cause Voiceover to have anything to
do with opening sessions. I mean, Avid said it did, so I trust them, I mean,
they're the developers, but man! That is just so strange!

Thank you though for continuing to update us on these things.

Chris.

I've got something I could send, but the problem is, I have lots of 3rd party
plugins in it. Wouldn't that make it crash?

Chris.

Hello again!

Forget about the requested marker sessions.

Avid just confirmed that there is some interfere with VO and PT2022.12 under
Ventura.

I investigated that you can open any session with PT2022-12 when VO isn't
running.
After the opening process, when all i/o and missing plug-in dialogs are skipped
via the Escape key, you can launch VO again.

Further I realized that every session which causes the assertion error has - in
addition to the mix and edit windows - a third one called "Avid log-in".
Now I'm waiting for Avid to give me some informations how to deal with that
"Avid log-in" window.

I'll keep you posted.

Best! / Martin

Hello all!

Still investigating the PT2022.12 issue...

Could someone send me a Pro Tools session created with an older version than
2022.12?
No certain content is required.
Please send one version including some memory markers and another without
any memory marker.
Thank you and best! / Martin
