Re: [Call For QAVOLUNTEER] AOO 3.5 milestone regression test(wasRe: SVT report of AOO build r1400866(3.5 snapshot))
I added my name to the comment section of bug ID 121403. I can test on Win7 or MacOSX. From your experience I think you will have an idea of where the most volunteers will want to test, so you can give me the 10 test cases on the other platform for the best distribution of manpower. Once we start 4.0 feature developing, QA team will follow test plan to do relative test. It's time to form a regression test to ensure this milestone build quality. The most-recent discussions on Dev list talk about 4.0 being the next major release, not 3.4. I assume your task will be the same either way, yes? We still need a regression test suite. -Rob I created a QA task [1] for test plan preparing in TestLink and another task[2] for regression test execution. I'm volunteer to take the first task[1]. Once the test plan ready, I'll let you know. If any volunteers wants help on this regression execution, please add comments to task[2]. We need 10 volunteers for cases execution, everyone need to complete 10 cases. Re: Not sure if I fully understand your intention...
Please select Apache OpenOffice testproject at top right corner after login. I totally missed that select yesterday evening. When I switch to the other test project I get a whole different story. :) Thanks for the quick reply. I also couldn't find any setting to specify the preferred OS, but I'll figure it out. I have access to the 3 major OS's so I'm sure I can work on most test cases. Best regards and thanks again! There is no useful test case in it, you can ignore it. Please select Apache OpenOffice testproject at top right corner after login. That project stored all the test cases, and once select Test Executions you will find the test plan Practical Test Cycle. When running test cases, you can filter platform in Setting section, e.g. if you have MacBook/iMac, you can select Mac OS, so the result input is for the MacOS, and other can select different platform to input their test result. Can this be done with the default permission (guest)? Enjoy your work in TestLink. When I follow the link I get a test case called AOOTest2-1:Starting AOO on a Mac , not the Practical test cycle that the bugzilla record mentions. Am I missing or overlooking something? I could do the test if required because I can get access to a Mac, but I can imagine lots of volunteers use another OS; what do they do ? Re: Could anybody who has MS word 97 help to verify bug 35763?
Hi Lou, I might be able to recover an old installation CD of office 97 (dutch localized version) at work, though I won't be able to get my hands on it for another 2 weeks. How urgent is this? Also: Is there a specific windows version you want to test it on, or is that not important? trying out testlink system. What to do when you find something else wrong than what the test is aimed at?
Hi, I was fiddling around with the Testlink system and started testing on AOOTest100 : Table Cell Protect. When I protect a cell and try to *type* something into it, I get a dialog that tells me that I can't because of the protection. However, when I try to *paste* something in there, there's no dialog with an error. I realize that this wasn't what the test was about, but nevertheless I think it would be better to trigger the dialog when pasting text also. How do I address this? Is this simply not my call to make and do I run the test as intended, or do I propose this change to the dev-list?
