Re: [Qgis-developer] Easy Issues for QGIS dev

2014-01-07 Thread Jonathan Moules
Hi,
I've gone through a small set of my bug reports - these ones appear like
they may be easy. However (a) I'm not a QGIS dev so don't know; (b) I don't
have tagging permissions anyway.

http://hub.qgis.org/issues/8899
http://hub.qgis.org/issues/8900
http://hub.qgis.org/issues/9196
http://hub.qgis.org/issues/9217
http://hub.qgis.org/issues/8870
http://hub.qgis.org/issues/8872

If they are and this easy issues thing takes off/is used, I can go
through the rest of my tickets too.

Cheers,
Jonathan

 Hi all.
Any progress on this? We currently have just 3 tickets on the list

 not exactly encouraging.
 All the best.

Hi !

I'd like to flag a few tickets I reported as easy, but I'm unable to set
tags using the update link... Is it possible to fix that ?
If no, here are ticket's I'd flag as easy:

http://hub.qgis.org/issues/9244
http://hub.qgis.org/issues/7177

Thanks!

I have now created a query which filters out easy issues for new
 developers. http://hub.qgis.org/projects/quantum-gis/issues?query_id=62

They can be found as a saved query on the side bar:

In order for a ticket to show you there you just need to add the easy
 tag. http://i.imgur.com/gEasKqf.png

Thanks to Richard for adding the new Tag field.

I was thinking this would be good for us to have to. I know that easy
is a subjective topic but I think we could make a start with small things
like typos, UI tweaks, etc. I have had people ask me is there a list of
things I could get started on and having to respond with I don't really
know, have a look though the tickets' isn't really a good way to respond.

In order to do this I think we will need a keywords field for RedMine.
  Is this possible?

 Anyone against this?

 Nathan

Checked, I added the tag for the first one, so you probably miss a
permission.
All the best, and thanks.

Hi Nathan,

a nice idea I think, also to attract new dev. I tried something like
that some time ago (with ubuntu as example):

http://hub.qgis.org/wiki/17/OneHundredPaperCuts

but better to do it in Redmine indeed.
