[QGIS-it-user] QGIS calcolatore di campi e gli array

2019-02-20 Per discussione Totò
Ciao a tutti,

d'Aosta con etichetta 20) [1];
2. permette di estrarre il valore maggiormente presente in un array e quindi
di rispondere al quesito: come assegnare la categoria prevalente ad un layer
partendo da da un altro layer sovrapposto. [2]

buona lettura

saluti

Re: [Qgis-user] Create own forms in QGIS 3.4

2019-02-20 Per discussione Andrew McAninch
Hi Kai,
In QGIS 3.4 You can customize the attribute form widgets and appearance in the
"Attributes Form" tab. There isnt an "edit widget" anymore, youll just see a
list of attributes and the widget settings on the right. You can also build
fully customized forms in Qt Designer and use them in QGIS.

Well, if both QGIS versions fail to load it, I would think it is as the
error tells you: not a valid geojson file.

Can you share the data? (parts of it? It is a text file, be sure to sent
both the start, and and some features).

Else does a site as http://geojson.io/ open your file?

[Qgis-user] Question: Error in Add .geojson

2019-02-20 Per discussione Apoyo Carbono
Hi everybody!

I was trying to Add a layer .geojson. It was created with MapiGIS App.
When, I Added it in QGIS 3.4 and I see this error:
*Invalid Data Source: D:/ERROR_QGIS/Points_duda.geojson is not a valid or
recognized data source. *

And, the same error appears in the version 2.18.28 available right now
(February 20th of 2019) when I Added layer .geojson.

Do you know why is the reason behind this error? Could you give me a
solution, please?

I would be very grateful with you

With me it is still there (QGIS 2.18.28): right click in layer manager,
select 'Save As' and then in the dialog select Geography Markup Language
[GML]

[Qgis-user] Looking for more info on exporting to GML format using version 2.18.3

2019-02-20 Per discussione Sandy Dove
Hi

Iam currently trying to get back into QGIS. I used to be a constant user
and bug tester in the early versions!

I need to find out how to export to GML. I thought it could be as easy as
choosing 'Save As' menu and select the format you want, but I cant find
this and I cant seem to find a pluggin to match this requirement.

Would appreciate some guidance.

[Qgis-user] Create own forms in QGIS 3.4

2019-02-20 Per discussione Kai Behncke
Dear users,

I wonder if it`s possible to create own forms in Quantum GIS 3.4?

I have found a couple of documentations how it`s possible in qgis 2.x.
In the layer-properties it seemes to be possible to switch to the
fields tab and a "Edit widget" is offered:
https://docs.qgis.org/2.8/en/docs/training_manual/create_vector_data/forms.html

But in Quantum GIS 3.4.4Madeira I don`t see these "Edit widget"?
Is there a way to get it or to create own forms by an other way?

Thank you very much, Kai

[Qgis-user] double, real, numeric - does it matter at all?

2019-02-20 Per discussione Tobias Wendorff
Hi there,

I'm curious, which decimal number format is a good one to store
and calculate with. When using ESRI Shapefiles, dbf's "double" had
the highest precision. In PostgreSQL world, "numeric" is incredible.
But QGIS confuses me a bit.

It doesn't use the normal precision/scale format, but length/precision. I
know of IEEE 754 and the limitation of double precision. But IEEE
754-2008 also has quadruple precision. Geopackage can handle up to
64-bit, that means double precision. JSON, PostgreSQL and others
could handle unlimited precision.

Seems like QGIS is limited to double, whatever you choose as format
and data-provider. You're limited to 18 digits after the point, of
course, only 15 of them might be correct.

Why can you create numeric fields with 32 length and 30 precision,
QGIS can't handle them? Wouldn't it be more secure to limit it to
QGIS's real limitations to make the user not think, he gets a
higher one? Sure, I've been storing high precision numbers as
strings for ages (when the full precision needs to survive storing).

Check my report [1] for some example decimals. The bug reports
in there got fixed by Nyall incredible fast - thanks for that :D

Best regards,
Tobias
