It's surprising yes, i remember having difficulties submitting the form, 
and a colleague too. This might be the reason.


I dont remember precisely but, it was like the plugin name fields looked 
like free text fields but were actually dropdown lists
without the little arrow, and you had to type the exact precise name 
otherwise you could not submit, with no explicit error message.

I'm elaborating a description for a short talk on behalf of the Swiss
cooperation in Colombia. It's about our QGIS plugin for land administration
(ISO:19152) [1]. This plugin is based on the QGIS Model Baker plugin [2],
which we also have contributed to. So, if everything goes well, QGIS will
be present in GeoPython 2019!

[Qgis-user] gdal addlo how many stages are recommended

Hi all together,

we want to show our orthophotographics to the scale up to 1:1.

Which stages of gdal addlo do you reccomend? We did 2 and 4. Is 8 and 16 
neccessary?

[Qgis-user] GeoPython 2019 - Call for QGIS Contributions

Hi all,

The 4th GeoPython Conference takes place again in Basel, Switzerland this year 
June 24-26. ( http://2019.geoypthon.net ).
The call for speakers will end tomorrow, we got many proposals so far but 
looking at them I didn't really see anything QGIS related which is quite 
unfortunate.

It would be great if someone wants to present something about QGIS Plugins / 
Automation using Python.

I know the call will close tomorrow (March 15), but a title with short abstract 
would be enough, a detailed description could follow later. In addition, I will 
try to keep the call open until Sunday evening CET.

come fare a trovarlo, ci do un occhio...non ho capito ancora benissimo come

Come sapete, la versione ltr durerà almeno un anno e quand'anche andrà in
pensione,  le grandi organizzazioni la manterranno per un bel po'.
Dunque si ripropone il problema di come tenere aggiornata la traduzione
ltr, tenendo conto che transifex è pensato per tradurre ed automatizzare
l'impacchettamento della traduzione solo nella/della versione master.
ho riflettuto un po' sulle modalità per superare questo problema e ho
trovato questa alternativa, elencata  in ordine di preferenza (ovviamente
mia)

1) qgis.org apre un'istanza transifex SOLO per  la 3.4.x ltr, si traduce e,
come per la master, ad ogni release in automatico i file di traduzione sono
presi da transifex "ltr";
2) apriamo un progetto personale su transifex per la versione italiana,
come ho fatto per la 2.18. in questo modo abbiamo il vantaggio
dell'ambiente transifex, ma ci sono delle difficoltà di gestione in più.
ogni tanto si fa una pull request sul branch ltr nel github di qgis, ma
ogni volta che esce una nuova versione bisogna coordinare l'esistente
rilasciato con l'esistente su transifex. per esperienza vi dico che non
sempre va tutto liscio.

soluzione residuale è rendersi indipendenti dai rilasci delle ltr e creare
con il  metodo 2 il file di traduzione e renderlo disponibile su qgis,it ed
ognuno lo scarico e lo copia nella cartella i18n. in questo modo siamo
liberi di fare tutti i rilasci quando vogliamo e non aspettare il rilascio
ufficiale di tutta la nuova ltr.

prima di aprire un argomento di discussione nella lista di sviluppo, vorrei
chiedere il vostro parere.

Debian does not supply packages for a later version for 
compatibility/stability reasons, in that it is the latest version that 
has been passed as stable according to their release criteria.


If you change the Debian repository you are using to testing just to 
install python you may be able to get a later release subject to risks 
it may create issues with other software.


Debian 10 will be released in about three months so upgrading your 
system ahead of that release is another option that will give you 
version 3.7 of python.
