Hi Paolo,

Maybe he should reopen http://hub.qgis.org/issues/1694 and upload the
symbols under that ticket. That ticket is about 6 years old, but the QGIS
community is much larger, and I'm sure there is more interest in the FGDC
symbols (http://ngmdb.usgs.gov/fgdc_gds/geolsymstd.php).

[Qgis-user] QGIS and Oracle Mastermap Vector indexing

2015-04-17 Thread Dixon, Stephen
Hi,

I'm having problems when using MasterMap vector data for snapping in QGIS. This
data is being brought into QGIS from an oracle database.

It works fine until I go onto another layer (Not MasterMap Vector layers) and
try to add a feature. It appears to try and index the whole of the MasterMap
vector database, which causes QGIS to fall over.

Is they a way to restrict the indexing to only index the area that is currently
rendered or a workaround maybe to allow me to snap to the vector data without
having to take a separate extract of the area required each time?

Cheers
Stephen

[Qgis-user] Processing modeler input columns in algorithms

2015-04-17 Thread Matteo Ghetta
Hi all,
is it possible to add the column names of the output of an algorithm inside
a second one?

In other words:
* run an algorithm on a shapefile that has as output a csv table with many
columns
* I'd like to run a second algorithm, e.g. making a scatterplot. But i want
to choose the 2 columns needed from the output of the first algorithm.

The only way I found is to write manually the column names. In this case,
the problem is that, if the column names change, the model doesn't work
anymore.

I hope I made myself clear. If you want here
http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/142950/put-output-of-saga-algorithm-of-processing-model-in-r-script
is an example with some screenshots.

Here is another solution that would work if you are not mapping live data, and
you can use a derived product. Convert your polygon dataset to lines. The,
use VectorDissolve to remove duplicated lines where
they are overlapping.

Re: [Qgis-user] Clean a raster layer converted in vector layer

2015-04-17 Thread RNanclares
Hi Giacomo, i would recommend filtering the raster before vectorizing. You
can use the sieve tool or a majority filter (via processing). With the sieve
tool you can set a threshold value which will define the minimum number of
pixels a cluster must have to be preserved, otherwise it will be merged with
the neighboring clusters.

Cheers

2015-04-17 Thread Francesc Cañas
Hi,

One of the most used algorithm by me is the r.report to create statistic
reports and I can't find it in the newest versions of QGIS 2.6 and 2.8, is
it available? If not, is there some equivalent?
Thanks

Re: [Qgis-user] Composite satellite images

2015-04-17 Thread RNanclares
Hi Susan,

first you need to use the merge/combine (i don't remember the exact name of
the tool in English) located in the Raster Miscellaneous menu. You have to
check the option 'stack layers'.

To pansharpen the image, first you have to see if you have Orfeo Toolbox
installed and configured (in the Processing menu). If it is installed you
can continue by using the sumperimpose tool (in the processing toolbox).
After the superimpose has finished you can do the pansharpening using the
pansharpening (rcs) algorithm found in the processing toolbox.

Cheers
