[Qgis-user] Using QGIS 3.0 in a python script outside the GUI

Hi All,

I'm trying to create a Windows scheduled task using a python script calling 
QGIS processing algorithms in non-GUI mode.

I read this tutorial http://www.qgistutorials.com/fr/docs/running_qgis_jobs.html

Since it was written for QGIS 2.XX, I used this stackexchange thread to adapt 
the batch file defining Windows environment variables   :

My batch file call a python script which atm only contains :

import sys
from qgis.core import *

# Initialize QGIS Application
QgsApplication.setPrefixPath("C:\\Program Files\\QGIS 3.0\\apps\\qgis", True)
app = QgsApplication([], False)
QgsApplication.initQgis()

print ('Hello QGIS!')

Problem is that I get an error telling me :

This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt 
platform plugin "windows"
in "".

I think it's when "app = QgsApplication([], False)" is called. And I don't get 
why

Do you have any idea?

[Qgis-user] QGIS to Web

[Nauwanga Nauwanga]

Hello List,

I would like to find out why the QGIS to Web plugin is not used in academic
research of Web GIS? There is no scientific paper that have used QGIS to
Web Plugin to publish their data, are there specific reasons?

Ho provato con importazione diretta di un DXF con $INSUNITS 0 (cioè
impostato in metri) e lo ha importato correttamente.

A questo punto però mi è sorto un altro problema: il corrispondente
dwg, fornito insieme al dxf , non mi si è aperto, nonostante si tratti
di una versione vecchia (AC1014). Aprendolo con Autodesk Trueview gli
risulta salvato con software
Autocad. Trasformato con Trueview alla 2000 (AC2015) sono riuscita a
fare l'importazione diretta ma i layer non si vedono se non a grande
scala, cioè zoomando più nel dettaglio scompaiono le linee (e NON è
attivo lo zoom dipendente dalla scala). Ricordo che qualcuno aveva
avuto lo stesso problema un po' di tempo fa in altra conversazione ma
non riesco a ritrovarla

[Qgis-user] setout using qgis or qfield or similar

Is there any way to use qgis or qfield or any other opensource software to 
'setout' points in the field?


This is rather basic functionality for a gps but once you are trying to use an 
external antenna with differential corrections and an android device it becomes 
a lot more difficult it seems. So far have tried quite a number of bits of 
android software that should be able to do this but without success.  I have 
thousands of points recorded to cm level accuracy (using survey grade surveying 
equipment) but now want to transfer them to an android device e.g. smartphone 
or tablet with high accuracy external aerial connected via bluetooth and set 
the points out again.


The high quality aerial can connect to the android device ok but most of the 
bits of software I have tried (other than ESRI collector) won't pick up the 
data from the external aerial properly.

Sto lavorando con alcuni file che hanno coordinate in ED50 per comuni relativi 
alla Valle d'Aosta. Quando utilizzo le basi topografiche di Bing o Google Maps 
la mia selezione di poligoni è spostata. È necessario usare le CTR valdostane 
oppure c'è un metodo per traslare le cartografie di Bing da wgs84 a ed50?

[QGIS-it-user] Plugin line to polygon

Stavo cercando su Qgis 2.18.4 il plugin multi-line to polygons per
convertire le linee in poligoni. Possibile che nella mia versione non ci
sia? Ho cercato tra i plugin ho trovato solo point to polygon.

[QGIS-it-user] Join tabellare con due campi di unione

Buongiorno a tutti,

vorrei realizzare un join tabellare tra un layer edifici e un file csv di
dati. 
Non ho, però, la colonna univoca di unione relativa agli ID e quindi avevo
pensato di procedere calcolando le coordinate del centroide (info che ho
anche sulla tabella csv). E' possibile realizzare un join impostando due
campi di unione (sia la x che la y del centroide)?
Avevo in alternativa pensato di realizzare sia sul csv che sullo shp una
colonna contenente le due coordinate separate da una virgola: l'unico modo
che mi era venuto in mente era realizzare una terza colonna di attributi su
QGIS operando con la concatenazione dei due campi (x_c e y_c) ma con il
calcolatore di campi non riesco ad ottenere il risultato sperato.

Sarò grata a chiunque riesca ad essermi di aiuto.

Ciao Sara,

io procederei trasformando il  csv in un file puntuale usando le coordinate
dei centroidi che hai nel csv. A quel punto i punti si sovrappongono al
poligono dell'edificio e farei uno spatial join per unire le informazioni.
