Re: [Ql-Users] Raspberry Pi Pico
I have luckily running SMSQmulator under Java on my Raspberry Pi Linux. Ihis implied an 'update' after each field (in this case 118) instead of only ONE 'update' outside the loop. (Is this understandable English?) Why such an important difference between QPC2 (60x slower) and QMSQmulator (1.8x slower)? Wolfgang told me that QMSQmulator uses its own 'win-driver'. For more explanation, you 'd better ask Wolfgang or Marcel. My skills are limited to some easy Sbasic unfortunately. Thanks for your reply. that makes 2 listeners on this list :). Re: [Ql-Users] Best practice to clean and restore MDV-Drive(Transport-Rubber, Tape-Head)?
Hello Urs, the following i found in a newsgroup archive: "Check the pinch rollers are properly pushed down on the motor shaft. (officially the gap is specified at 0.25 to 0.5 mm, IMHO it should be as little as possible so long as it turns freely) Cut a 2 -3 mm wide notch in the edge of a business card near the corner so it can be slipped under the pinch roller between it and the spacer If its a thin, flimsy business card, use two. Push the pinch roller down till its tight against the card. Pull the card out carefully. If the pinch roller is badly worn at the bottom, you may want to try taking it off and turning it over. While you are in there, clean any oxide deposits off the head with a cotton bud and some meths or surgical spirits or preferably tape head cleaner. Dont spill meths etc. on the plastic." hth, Klaus-Peter - [shortened] Message - From: "Urs Koenig (QL)" To: Sent: Tuesday, May 12, 2009 5:59 PM Subject: [Ql-Users] Best practice to clean and restore MDV-Drive(Transport-Rubber, Tape-Head)? Hi all, A friend of mine had his QL stored away for more than a decade in a "bad" (wet) place (wet). The QL is working but "looks" very bad (slimy and rusty). Outside cleaning was easy, also was blowing the dust away internally. The first MDV cartridges we've tried to load were "destroyed" by this QL. So, what is Best practice to clean and restore a MDV-Drive (Transport-Rubber, Tape-Head)? Thanks for any support. Best regards, Urs P.S. Hello George, the correct link to Helmut Aigners Math toolkit is http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/tk/index.html (.html, not .htm) Klaus-Peter - Original Message - On 23 Apr 2009, at 15:52, Dilwyn Jones wrote: I just downloaded the very interesting Maths toolkit by Helmut Aigner from Dilwyn site. The documentation is in German only. I can figure out most of the commands from the examples supplied but I was wondering if someone has the documentation in English (or french!!). I can't see the Maths Toolkit on Dilwyn's site. What was its name? It's on the toolkits page on my website: http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/tk/index.htm This link does not seem to work!
