[qmailadmin] Qmailadmin 1.0.6 Error: could not change to directory
Title: Qmailadmin 1.0.6 Error: could not change to directory Hi all, I am using qmailadmin 1.0.6 I have just rebuilt qmailadmin and all went well. (I was playing with the templates from http://www.somnioworld.com/qmailadmin.php) I untar'd a fresh source and passed my configure options, ran a make and make all. A new version of qmailadmin sat in my websevers root. [EMAIL PROTECTED] /usr/local/apache/cgi-bin]# ls -la total 2344 drwxr-sr-x 3 root root 4096 Jul 17 14:40 . drwxr-sr-x 14 root root 4096 Jul 17 14:00 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 263 Apr 15 15:19 printenv -rwsr-sr-x 1 vpopmail vchkpw 379282 Jul 17 14:36 qmailadmin -rwsr-xr-x 1 root root 1990283 Apr 25 09:08 sqwebmail -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 757 Apr 15 15:19 test-cgi drwxr-xr-x 3 vpopmail vchkpw 4096 Jul 7 00:08 vqadmin I goto my /cgi-bin/qmailadmin url and get a login prompt, I login, I then hit "add email account" and get Error: could not change to directory I am guessing this means it could not change into the /home/vpopmail dir, yet the permissions are right, and the webserver log just says Error: could not change to directory. Any good explination to what this means ? While I am at it - anyone got the templates from somnioworld working ? Thanks, Matt.

Any good explination to what this means ? Is this on the original 1.0.6 build, or the one with the new templates installed? Does an unpatched build work for you? What version of vpopmail are you using? I'm pretty sure the templates go with a more recent version of QmailAdmin (1.0.23?) which you can download from http://sourceforge.net/projects/qmailadmin/>. Normally that error message includes the name of the directory that it tried to change to. -- Tom Collins [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://sniffter.com/ - info on the Sniffter hand-held Network Tester
RE: [qmailadmin] Qmailadmin 1.0.6 Error: could not change to directory
Hello Tom, This is a vanilla 1.0.6 build - nothing special. The 1.0.6 build worked fine for me, however on this occasion it is not. The error message does not say the directory it is trying to change into - I assume it is the /home/vpopmail I am using vpopmail 5.2.1 Thanks, Matt. -Original Message- From: Tom Collins [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 17 July 2003 15:35 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [qmailadmin] Qmailadmin 1.0.6 Error: could not change to directory On Thursday, July 17, 2003, at 06:38 AM, DARCY,MATTHEW (HP-UnitedKingdom,ex2) wrote: I goto my /cgi-bin/qmailadmin url and get a login prompt, I login, I then hit add email account and get Error: could not change to directory I am guessing this means it could not change into the /home/vpopmail dir, yet the permissions are right, and the webserver log just says Error: could not change to directory.
