[qmailtoaster] Qmail Control Files Problem
Untitled DocumentHi All, I have recently rebuilt the qmail toaster to disable some of the features of chkuser after re-installing the rebult rpm file I ran config-fast to configure default domain etc. But since then is getting a . (dot) before may mail domain ( [EMAIL PROTECTED]) whenever i receive mail from system generated logwatch. Earlier it was not so but since that day i am getting a (dot ) between @ and my domain name. Can someone tell me why is it showing a . after @ I have cheched all the control files and all are correct as set by the config-fast command. Thanks Regards, Anil Aliyan Asst. Logwatch can also be configured to use whatever email you want, so you may need to check it's config file as well. Lastly, check defaultdomain in the qmail control file.

Yes, it can be added. It works in every qmail setup. The only thing thats needed is to edit the command file. And it also comes with the qtp package. Try to use the submission port for sending; I guess, the different anti-spam stuff needs to do DNS lookups when you send via SMTP. [qmailtoaster] Authentication to bypass spam checks
Hi All, My first message to this mailing list. :-) Problem: One of my developers is complaining that is not possible for him to send email from his house. I noticed that the range of IPs from his block has been flagged as spam. Q. What's the correct procedure to have him authenticated and bypass the spam mechanism? I know that I probably configured QT wrong, lets see if I can get it right this time. Re: [qmailtoaster] Authentication to bypass spam checks
Good news! You didn't configure QMT wrong. This is the way it should be. You'll need him to use the submission port (587) on his client instead of 25. He'll also need to use smtp auth. to send. In fact, you should make it standard procedure now to have all of your clients submit on port 587 with SMTP auth from now on. This will make it easier in the long run. You'll start seeing more and more post offices going this way. I tried doing a cpan bundle update and then loaded IO::Compress::Bzip2. CPAN doesn't fail or load this as a dependency.
