Re: [qmailtoaster] New qmailtoaster-plus package (1.3.2-1.4.16) is now available!
Nice! ...and ofc welcome Martin :) Il 22/10/2010 4.27, Eric Shubert ha scritto: It is with great joy, and some relief, that I announce the availability of the lastest qmailtoaster-plus package. As usual, see the doc/release-notes.txt file for details of changes. To upgrade it, simply: # yum upgrade qmailtoaster-plus There is a little documentation yet to do on the QTP site (the new qtp-dependencies script comes to mind), and I expect to get to that soon enough (but don't hold your breath). Speaking of the QTP site, the migration is now complete, and the site is up and running on a new VM server! (And yes, off site backups are already in place.) I'd like to thank Jake for recovering everything from the old site and helping with the migration. He's overloaded, and I couldn't have gotten the site back up as it was without his help. A special thanks goes to Randy Melder of Spin Internet Hosting for hosting the new QTP VM for us. Randy has been a long time QMT user, and his support of QMT is appreciated. I think Randy is also providing a QMT mirror, but I'm not positive about that. I'd also like to publicly welcome Martin Waschbuesch to the group of QTP developers (meaning that he can check code into the SVN repository). He fixed the division by zero problem in the sa-stats script for us, and I look forward to more QTP contributions from him. As usual, feedback on the list is welcome. I'm not getting this error. I don't have the Scalar directory there on my QMT, but I do have it in the base perl package: # rpm -qf /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/Scalar/Util.pm perl-5.8.8-27.el5 I believe that the fix on the wiki was inappropriate, for two reasons. First is that CPAN isn't the best way to update perl modules (at least on a QMT host), and second is that it refers to a specific version, which is now apparently outdated. So I've removed this entry from the wiki. Paco, which perl package is presently installed on your system? # rpm -q perl If it's not the latest, I'd begin by updating perl using yum: # yum update perl Then we'll see about getting the stock Util.pm module installed on your system. -- -Eric 'shubes' On 10/25/2010 08:38 AM, Francisco Paco Peralta wrote: Just went through the exercise of updating ClamAV again and this time it worked! First is that CPAN isn't the best way to update perl modules (at least on a QMT host), and second is that it refers to a specific version, which is now apparently outdated. So I've removed this entry from the wiki. [qmailtoaster] Re: Clamav update trouble
I take that back. Your perl package is slightly newer than the one I'm running. I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, but it appears that your combination of perl modules isn't quite right. Perhaps a perl expert here (Steve maybe?) might help with how to straighten things out. I'm not real strong with CPAN. This isn't a real big problem, but if you don't get any further here then shoot me an email off list. -- -Eric 'shubes' On 10/25/2010 02:15 PM, Francisco Paco Peralta wrote: [r...@mail ~]# cat /etc/yum.conf [main] cachedir=/var/cache/yum keepcache=0 debuglevel=2 logfile=/var/log/yum.log distroverpkg=redhat-release tolerant=1 exactarch=1 obsoletes=1 gpgcheck=1 plugins=1 # Note: yum-RHN-plugin doesn't honor this. metadata_expire=1h # Default. # installonly_limit = 3 # PUT YOUR REPOS HERE OR IN separate files named file.repo # in /etc/yum.repos.d Francisco Paco Peralta From: Eric Shuberte...@shubes.net To: qmailtoaster-list@qmailtoaster.com Sent: Mon, October 25, 2010 4:59:52 PM Subject: [qmailtoaster] Re: Clamav update trouble What are your repository priority protections?
