Tony, Wheelchair and Tod, thanks for letting me know that there is still some rational

By the way John Kerry will be on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central.
Tomorrow. That show is truthful but it is also a hoot!!

Tony,
You really believe all that tripe?
Have you been paying attention to something besides the junk news
artists?
Heck even on Scarborough country and Hardball they know better.
Iran WAS building it's reactor already.
N. Korea ALREADY had fissionable material.
The Russians WERE supplying Sadamned too.
Would you have been one of the WWII Protestors too, there were ten
million prior to our entering it.
Some things never change.
It takes a person willing to do UNPOPULAR things to make real changes.
Bush inherited this mess from did nothing klinton.
All he cared about was being popular, well maybe not all.
He weakened our forces so bad we got our butts kicked in Somolia.
After that he did WHAT?
Or did you forget about that?

Well I guess that is another "rumor" shot down.
Gee, wonder what was more important to Kerry to skip the opportunity to
show his support?
He couldn't make time for the one that would have recognized murder of

I wonder what people will say when those WMD's finally turn up?

I heard from her too.  She told me she is going to post to the qlist

the only thing that they had to do was clean up around the yard.  They
didn't lose power.  Cable was out for over  a week and that is the
worst they have seen of Charley. It's amazing how just a few miles can make such
a big difference.

Hey Tony,
I've been a huge fan of the women's (girl's) gymnastics since I was
a HS Frosh!  I remember seeing some girls practicing at school and
thinking "Damn... that's gotta hurt" when their hips/pelvis would slam
into the bars on the unevens.  I've admired them ever since.
(Then I noticed some were pretty darned cute, too!  Eh, but that's
another story.)
I used to follow all the major countries all year... Romania, Russia,
China, USA of course... but then came college and a job and more to do
at home... yada yada... and now, I look at these girls and think "Damn...
that's gotta hurt," PLUS  "Geez, I'm old enough to be
their father, now!  Where's my Brandy Johnson?"
    Now that really hurts!!
I was a swimmer/diver before my accident.
I swam in middle school but then they decided not to have a swim team
and I moved when my folks split up.  I did manage to get a 1st in
backstroke and 3rd freestyle competing against those 2 vyears older than
me, though... Something that makes me wonder now ... "What could I have
done if..."
Diving was just unofficial cliff diving from 75-100ft cliffs into a
slate quarry in PA.  I NEVER could have done the stuff they do in
competitions.  I tried in the pools and for me just trying a simple
single flip off a 3 meter board gave me more red bellies, red backs, and
headaches than I care to remember... and ... uh... yeah, "those twins"
hurt too if ya land wrong. ("Keep your legs together," wasn't just reserved
for the girls, ya know... We fellas heard it at the pool.)
I do wish I would have had the chance to keep at it.  Who knows
Santee wins the gold in 2004  (Ok... Silver in 1996.  Better?)
Ok... so who brought up the "What If / Regrets" thing a while back?
I guess now I can answer.  Unless, I got sent to Iraq or Afghanistan...
Army 82nd Airborne was my goal before my accident... though, I'm thinking
that might fit in the "Regret" column right now had it actually happened.
Who knows.  One thing for sure... my whole philosophy on life
would have probably been different if "this thing" hadn't happened.
Weird thoughts... h.

the girls were amazing to me, and what i loved the most
was watching Annia Hatch's incredible sportsmanship...never taking it TOO
serious, like i saw so many of them do.  Hatch took a silver, i think, in
the vault, and she's been so vibrant and friendly throughout the whole
competition...

I also LOVED the men's 100 meter...Gatlin comes out of
obscurity to steal the gold from the Jamaican and Green (USA)...he was soo
EXCITED!!  I just love people overcoming...

Hi Dana,

It looks like Shahidul moved all of the SCIList pics from his home page (http://www.daruchinidip.com/home.htm) to the SCIList home page. (http://scilist.netfirms.com/)  Unfortunately, at the moment the SCIList home page says:

The website you have requested has exceeded its daily bandwidth quota of 56MB and has been temporarily de-activated.
Until the SCIList gets more re-activated I don't know how to post a pic.  I hope this helps.

I worked in a seafood buffet restaurant and it had other foods that are horrible for a person.  Lot's of fried foods.  Many people chose the things that are bad for you when there were many things that were good for you. Like the seafood.  We would get some pretty large people come in and try to get their money's worth and sit for hours.  You would see some people eating off of their plates while walking back to their table.  And the soda, my goodness the soda.  I would be sick just from watching how some of those people ate.

Hey folks,
I just got an e-mail from Breezy and Hurricane Charley left her home in a mess, she had 3 trees on her house and was without power for 9 days but has a generator.
She said her insurance was good so no worries there and she's ok.

...i really hate GLUTENS!!!  And it's not just food, i'm just sick of people that only want as much as they can get.  My buddy thought i was nuts the other day coz i left a $5 tip for a waitress, but she works damn hard for little pay, and i just think 15% is too low in most cases.

Hope everybody's watchin the Olympics...i love the stories, triumphs and fact that the world can at least come together over something without killing each other. ; )

I think that offer ended Friday.  They still offer coupons and a free sample, though.

Hi Cam,

I'm glad you replied to Stacy because I'd read both posts and thought you hadn't meant to show Stacy and disrespect, so I was going to jump in to let her know how I read it.  It's better coming from you though, and I hope Stacy understands you meant no harm! :)

On the contrary, as I wrote in the past- I read very introspective and up-front posts from you and enjoy them. I guess you didn't read the post I sent directly to you a week or two agobut it's OK, really.
What I meant by "Oscar night" is that I was relating a list of names that sounded like the the litany of 'Thank  you(s) actors run through when receiving an Oscar. Chill :) Being a bit touchy, aren't we? I know you post often with something to relate.
Tony is still in there swinging and lusting and has a good sense of humor
Smurf is starting a great time of her life and has kept us updated
'W'  has always got good info to share
everyone here has something to offer
and if someone, like Lori, says the thing that illicits a response-God bless her for her convictions

Cameron,

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that.  Oscar night?  I'm sensing that your last post was because you feel that I am not contributing to the list.  Could I be wrong perhaps?  If I took it the wrong way, I apologize, but I would still like to know what you meant by your post.

Hi Dana,

The lose of a close friend can, and should be painful, but if you'd never had him, you wouldn't have all the wonderful memories you have.

I am sorry for your lose, but hope the memories help you through your grief.

[QUAD-L] Free Pedometer for the asking

2004-08-23 Thread wheelchair
Mark,
We both went to the contact page and completed it. In the comment section we
wrote asking them to send the pedometer. That was acknowledged within 24
hours and 10 days later it came. I went back in over this weekend and requested
a free sample of Citrucel. Let's see what happens, eh?
