Hi Martin,Does it do the same things as a Permobile? What is
its price? And reliability?

Is there a web site for it?

Has anybody used it on the last and for how long?

Thank you.Dana

Strengths:
Been in a chair for 18 years now and this is the most
comfortable I have ever been. Strong, powerful, off road and in house it
just goes, they custom made the backrest for me, with tilt-in-space and
  Power recline it's a dream.

Weaknesses:
I'm still trying to find some ..

Comments:
Radical Mobility crew goes beyond the extra mile, there HQ
is far from me so they sent me a measurement form (33 Point to measure)to
complete and fax to them. When my chair was deliverd it fitted like a
clove, all that for about $5000

Yes, I have had them for
months.
I've tried the Rutin horse
chestnut and drink metamucil.
They have not helped stop the
bleeding.

I put off going to a doctor, now I am
in bad shape.
I went to the doctors and I have found
out that I have lost so much blood over the past few months and especially this
week that my blood count is low and I may have to get a blood
transfusion.
I am really weak and
tired.

I have an appointment with a specialist
in a few weeks.
Has anyone had sugery for their
hemroids?

Start taking iron pills if you are
losing blood. Of course have your blood count taken first.

I hope you get it checked soon.
My uncle was having the same problem last month and when he finally went
to the doctor he had stage 4 colon cancer. He had surgery on Monday to
remove one foot of his large intestines and part of his liver. He is
recovering ok.

Remember if you take iron it will make you constipated so anticipate it by
taking something. Constipation will only aggravate the situation. Sandy

Hemmoroids? OoYes! Been there done that. I recommend mirilax and go easy on the stimmulation. Be sure to get the suppository up high. Try using an extra preperation H between bowel movements. Drink plenty of water. If it doesn't clear up you might want to talk to your doctor. You won't enjoy anything he does so, truly, eat salads with spinach.
If your just getting blood in your stool and you have no hemmoroids, go see your doctor now. He will probably want a sample.
Whatever happens, Good Luck!.

[QUAD-L] Fishing_Where Is Everyone??

2006-08-11 Thread Lori Michaelson

I LOVE fishing but it has been a long, long, long time. I don't even mind if my pole has/had to sit in some contraption while I sit there and enjoy being by the water while waiting for a catch. But other things in my lifehave taken precedence over that.

Further, try fishing in the desert! LOL. Actually, we have some nice lakes to be able to do just that about 90 minutes north of us but we have not been able to do that either.

Right now, it is too hot to be out there anyway. We do not have the big old trees HEREthat offer a nice canopy while fishing.

Actually, Tucson, Arizona has been having the coolest July in the last six summers that we have been here. I can't imagine how you live with the Florida heat and oppressive humidity ... but we all adapt!

My power wheelchair battery charger went on the blink and we have been waiting for a week for the parts to come in. I was pretty much housebound in fear that my wheelchair batteries would lose all of their charge and I would be stuck in bed. I really didn't have anywhere to go anyway so I just went from room to room keeping busy with our summer projects.

But several days ago my "engineer" husband rigged up a system that will give the battery a charge. Therefore, I finally got out to get some shopping done today that I have been waiting three months to do. It has always been one thing after another from day to day or week to week.

We have also been joining some great monsoons in the northern area of Tucson that I live in. Our area has literally gone without rain for three years! But July has made up for that! The lightning bolts and the clouds over the mountains offer a spectacular view almost every evening. Our part of town stays pretty safe in that other parts of Tucson has had very high winds that have taken down trees and on other damage.

We just get all the noise and anywhere from 10 seconds to five minutes of pouring rain. But we noticed today when we drove just 5 miles south of us that there was still water alongside the roads and one road is still closed so they must have gotten a lot of rain there last night. Usually it dries up within a minute after raining with it being so dry here in the Sonoran Desert.

We just got a call last night that the parts came in for the charger and my husband is going to take my chair down to the vendor early Monday morning. I will stay in bed and relax until he returns.

Back to working on my personal history work and program...
