my sons in college also tell me ethanol has less energy per gallon than
gasoline does. this means you'll need more of it
while getting fewer miles per gallon.

thanks Dana,
But as an ASE certified Auto Repair Technician, I
would like to point out something... sometimes cheapest isn't best,

many of the cheaper fueling places like most Maverick Stores 7 Elevens are
carrying Ethanol blended alcohol/gasoline combo fuel, while it can be
cheaper it also has downsides of causing fuel wasting and lowered fuel economy
over the long haul in fuel injected vehicles..

running non ethanol contining fuel brings better mileage when the vehicle is
kept properly maintained, reduces the frequency of injector and/or fuel pump
replacement becoming necessary, and fuel filters clog and need replacement
less often too...

Personally in my vehicles because of this I only buy Chevron, Texaco,
Shell gas in my cars trucks except if its an emergency, (I'm out of gas
without
a choice because I have to get what is closest at the time)

increased vehicle repair costs does not offset the original savings
resultant from the purchase of ethanol containg fuel...

In 1999 my testimony at our State House defeated a Mandatory Ethonol Bill
in the State of Idaho... presented by uneducated legislators... My
presentation of how its negative effects didn't accomplish their stated goal///

to clean up Idaho's air quality thru reduced vehicle emmissions.. I proved
that the alcohol absorbs water and when it has absorbed all it can the remai
ning water in limbo in the fuel travels with the fuel and corrodes the wear
spots in the moving parts of the injectors and later causes the vehicles which
are running ethanol to give higher emmissions unless they are repaired.. to
correct the problem

with straight gasoline fuel this corrosive process happens at a much slower
rate if at all..
as its not the same...

Dana please consider forwarding a copy of this precautionary letter to your
friends who also recieve this email

just trying to help too

Welcome Luis, I got to kick myself in the rear end to do anything somedays. I'm

physically hurts. I can deal with heat if I'm not directly in the sun. Ninety

Hi luis,
I'm Stacy.  I became paraplegic in May of 2001 from a type of encephalitis that
put me in a coma and made me a quad.  I regained my upper body but from below
my chest down is paralyzed.  Last year I got osteomyelitis in my spinal column
and had to get rods from T 7 down to my pelvis.  I have had some complications
and going back in for more rods.  I'm in no way complaining, just letting you
know a bit about me.
I live in Maryland on the coast and will have my 34th bday in July.  I live
alone and drive a van that has hand controls and a captains chair that turns
around so I can transfer into it.  I am a mommy of a beautiful cat.
Welcome to the list.  There are people here from all walks of life and a ton
of information is exchanged here.  I hope you learn as much as I have from
these informative people.

We all have all had 'lapses of common sense' Danny.  Most times they are
inconsequential, sometimes we screw ourselves up and sometimes,   we hurt
others.  It is truly unfortunate that you hurt someone else so badly.  Because
it was a stupid accident - caused by bad judgment, i think you should be let
off easy.  BUT because of  the following, -- In court documents they say
Espinoza has never contacted them to apologize or even expressed remorse. I am
curious as to why you haven't contacted the family to apologize.  I currently
think you are being punished quite enough.  GOD speed my friend, I hope the

[QUAD-L] Anniversary Dates

2008-05-07 Thread Greg
My Anniversary was May 10th, mother's Day, 1982.

26 years now. More years in a chair then not, yet I still think of it as
having more of a life not in my chair.

[QUAD-L] Falling Out of Chair?

2008-05-07 Thread Greg
Anyone ever accidentally drive their chair into a pool or ditch, or fall out
of your chair?

I've tipped sidewise or fallen forward and couldn't sit back up, but have
always stayed in the chair.

But I have bumped my control joystick and scared myself being close to a
pools edge.

Re: [QUAD-L] Falling Out of Chair?

2008-05-07 Thread John S.
I've done the power chair two step when people's coats hang on my joystick.
I've backed over numerous animals. I backed down a flight of stairs by
accident. Amazingly, the chair and I suffered only minimal damage. It just
flipped on it's back and slid down. Lost my backpack and some battery acid, but
when flipped back on my wheels I was only suffering from a hell of a rush.
Do crushed feet count? I've got 5 so far.

GOD speed my friend, I hope the
legal system passes you by. Good luck.

Most young men have raced a few times and done stupid things. You are paying a
high price for bad judgement. I dont think you will see jail time. I dont think
any less of you for telling the truth.
