Hi Lori,

I was about to become your friend in the facebook. Then I saw your message.
You seem little tense. Why, any problem ? I would love to hear it (of
course, if you don't mind).

Please take care :-)

I never got the Michael Jackson thing. Even Thriller.. Lyrics were not that
interesting and his voice was not that great. I agree he was an innovator in
videos, but his high voice always sounded forced and fake. I do like some of
the early Jackson 5 stuff.

I was not his biggest fan. Nothing personal mind you. I liked his music

just another very rich person with no education, lead by managers and
handlers all his life. He did what he was told. He made millions for those
who handled him. I am sure that we will find out later, that he died without
a penny and deeply in debt. And even in death the money that is made will
go to his debtors. Not like Elvis who owned all of his rights, even in
death.

RE: [QUAD-L] Michael Jaskson passed away

2009-06-26 Thread Greg
He was in very bad debt, but mostly because of his spending habits and life
style. Not only did he own his music, but he owned most of the early
Beatle's music by out bidding Paul when they came up for auction. Though I
think he recently had to sell the Beatles collection because of his debts.

I just never though he sounded very good after the Jackson 5. No soul, he
left Motown and left the soul there.

Re: [QUAD-L] Michael Jaskson passed away

2009-06-26 Thread Dave0c
A lot of Michael's 'pain' and debts were self inflicted, although 500
million seems excessive. He settled many lawsuits of child molesting out of
courts for many millions each. Then he gets in front of a camera and
declares how wonderful it is to share his bed with children. His 50+ face
surgeries were mostly his choice and as you may recall, he went to the middle
east for the last bunch of modifications as the US doctors wouldn't do any
more on him. I'm glad that what I see in the mirror doesn't bother me all
that much - even my ever expanding quad belly. As john said, RIP because you
sure didn't rest much here.

MJ, could sing and dance but he could not change a washer on a faucet or
swap a light bulb. I'm sure that he never balanced a check book or drove.
The things he did were typical of a very rich person with the mind of a
child. I could not imagine anyone having a discussion with him on typical
topics. I did not know the real MJ, but I've met a couple of people who were
very rich like him and who's lives were so structured.
