Greg, that sounds great, if it works properly. While I'm sitting there watching television. I'm not using my chair's control. It could be put to good use, as I am currently looking for a voice operated TV remote. , that sounds great, if it works properly. While I'm sitting there watching television. Re: [QUAD-L] chair's joystick controling tv, dvd, mouse
Like Naomi, I have been looking for a newer voice remote for the television. For the last eight years I have had an INVOCA (brand) voice remote but even when I first got it it was very unstable and therefore much too annoying to use. My husband found another brand a few months ago and wrote to them but they never responded so they are probably not in business anymore. Perhaps unlike many of you, I really don't like to watch television when I am up in the wheelchair. I prefer to watch any television (that I DO watch television) when I am in bed because I feel much more comfortable. When I am up in the wheelchair... I get too antsy and do not like to sit in one place for an extended period of time. So... like Naomi, if anyone finds a better VOICE REMOTE besides what I described above... please let me know! Re: [QUAD-L] chair's joystick controling tv, dvd, mouse
Yup! I can't remember who it was but not too long ago someone else on the list mentioned the same thing about the same product. First it works, then it doesn't. Sometimes it will go to the channel that you tell it to CLEARLY go to and it does not. Sometimes when you tell it to increase or decrease the volume it will and then it will not. I could go on and on. Lori On Wed, Jun 16, 2010 at 3:42 PM, Eric W Rudd c5sc...@gmail.com wrote: unstable? annoying?
