Well I'm glad they came to your rescue. Did you tell them to bill your agency? Hope you two called your case workers and reported the agency. I'd call the newspaper too. That way other agencies might think twice. Re: [QUAD-L] A first
I had to get pulled out of the tub a few years ago. At one time, I could get myself into the shower. I had really bad spasms that threw me in, my legs were bent and wedged in the tub, I spent the night because I forgot my phone to take with me. Long story short, my friend called them in the morning and they bailed me out. They asked my friend to cover me so I had my privacy. It's nice when they go above and beyond and are really great about it. Your story is much better than mine hehe. I'm sure you all had a good time while they did it. What a way to weather the storm. I just cant believe you couldn't get the help you count on to get in bed. My CNA is on her last strike. Not only has she not shown up a few times, but then doesn't call on top of it. I only use her a few times a week, but i count on her those certain days. (i could always put them in the basement in a situation like yours but if a situation arose where i couldn't get them put away). i'm surprised they had to use a hoyer lift though. i would think that firefighters could do a 2 man transfer. anyway, i'm glad they came to help! dianna **Ideas to please picky eaters.
