[qubes-users] Alternate net-vm

[qubes-users] sys-net internet stops after a few minutes
Hello Qubes-users, I have installed Qubes and had no problems but the internet access only works for a few minutes. If I open a terminal in sys-net and start a ping (to 4.2.2.1 for example) it stops working after a while and then the only way to get it back it to reboot. I know the hardware is fine as I have installed Debian on it and had no problems apart from I had to put the firmware for the network cards (firmware-bnx2_0.43_all.deb) on the installation media. I am installing on a Dell PowerEdge T710 with 32GB RAM. Any help with this would be appreciated as I would love to use Qubes but it looks like I will have to use Debian instead. -- Best regards, Chris -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] Adding NIC drivers to install
Hello All, I'm still having problems installing Qubes. Debian works apart from having to add firmware-bnx2_0.43_all.deb to the firmware directory when installing. As my issue with Qubes is networking is it possible for me to do the same with the Qubes install media? -- Best regards, Chris -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. Hello Andrew, Wednesday, February 1, 2017, 3:29:46 AM, you wrote: > - From which VM are you issuing these pings? I'm pinging from the Untrusted domain as I believe that dom0 has no networking. I have other PCs that can access the internet so I know it's working OK. I have done a traceroute to 4.2.2.1 which gets to the IP assigned by my router but no further, I can't ping the router either! Also there was a "failed to start Load Kernel Modules" when booting. [qubes-users] Memory and network problems
Hello All, I have installed Qubes 3.2 and am having problems with memory and networking. Firstly, Qubes only sees 4GB RAM but I actually have 32GB RAM! Secondly, networking keeps stopping. I can initially ping (e.g. 4.2.2.1) but then I just get "Destination Host Unreachable" from the DHCP IP given by my router. I am installing on a Dell PowerEdge T710 and have added "-- efi=attr=uc" to the boot command. Any help with these problems would be much appreciated as I would like to use Qubes as my main operating system. -- Best regards, Chris -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] Boot fails after update
Hello All, I'm trying out Qubes as it looks very good. I installed it, ran the updates and then when I rebooted it drops to the emergency shell. There are lots of the following type error - [6.27831] Dev sdj: unable to read RDB block 1 and the last messages are - Warning: /dev/mapper/qubes_dom0-root does not exist Warning: /dev/qubes_dom0/root does not exist Warning: /dev/qubes_dom0/swap does not exist Warning: crypto LUKS UUID (long hex string) not found. I'm testing Qubes on a Dell Poweredge R710 using RAID. It seemed fine until I ran the updates.
