[qubes-users] Re: Qubes Bluetooth (mouse)
Hi, I am using a bluetooth mouse (Mad Catz M.O.U.S 9) via the sys-usb VM where it is passing through the functionality via some form of Qubes input passthrough to the rest of the system. This seems to be working fine for me. The general functions of the mouse all seem to work fine; ie. movement, left/right/middle clicks, back/forward buttons and scrolling. The one thing I haven't figured out, and haven't really looked into at the moment, is that it doesn't auto connect at start up. Each time I boot the computer I have to open a console for sys-usb and power on the bluetooth and then connect the mouse. Just thought I would share my experience even though I thought it would be something that would cause more trouble. Something I would like to look into in the future is the possibility of bluetooth headset. Could we get this connected to the sys-usb and have the audio, and possibly mic, passed through via some form of qubes audio mixer. Hi, I have been interested in an idea like that as I could see it beneficial for many organisations but currently I have had no actual driving need for it at this time. [qubes-users] Re: Qubes 3.2-RC2 - Sys-Firewall Not Found?
Hi Ben, Do the rest of your default VMs install? If not, you can retry configuration by calling 'sudo qubesctl state.highstate' in a console in dom0. This seems to be coming up as a common problem at the moment with the R3.2 releases. [qubes-users] Re: [3.2rc2] Default VMs failed to get created after installation
Hi, This problem has happened even with RC1. You can retry configuration by calling 'sudo qubesctl state.highstate' in a console in dom0. I had this problem and it resolved it for me with RC1. Thank you guys, great work. Just a little side note, yesterday when I updated it seemed to break my window borders in KDE. I am now using XFCE and all seems fine. @Marek please correct me if I am wrong but I believe that all standard templates (ie. fedora, debian and whonix) are installed even if you select the option "do not configure anything", it just should not create any appVMs. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] Re: Qubes, Windows7 and Domain join
That should work fine as the Qubes Windows Tools work with Win7. You can create a HVM and install it with windows then install the QWT which will help with the network config of the VM. Once done, and as long as you are connected to a network with access to the domain, you should be able to join that domain. I have done this in the past. If you have any problems, just let us know. [qubes-users] SCCM Task Sequence in HVMTemplate
Hi, I have just reinstalled Qubes using the 3.2-rc1 and I am trying to install my company SOE into a VM but I have had no luck so far. Our company uses SCCM to deploy the image. So far I have tried: * Using PXE boot using iPXE but I am not sure what to chain to * Using a boot ISO with the SCCM task sequence but as the VM is in a different network, it cannot get DHCP. Also, the static IP options via MDT are bugged and I cannot set a static IP. * I tried turning off the sys-net vm and assigning the physical nic to the HVMTemplate but when I boot the ISO it does not recognise the NIC. * Tried creating a bridge with the sys-net vm but had no luck as the details are old. I am looking to see if anyone has any suggestions they could provide to help me get the SOE installed via the network deployment capability. If I could PXE boot would probable be the best, but I assume just getting the DHCP and network access to pass through (possibly via temporary bridge) would achieve what I am looking to do. [qubes-users] Re: i2p AppVM
Hi, I am not sure if many people here have started using that service. Sounds like you may need to set it up as a ProxyVM similar to the way people setup a TorVM (https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/torvm/). This would be the location in which you would install the I2P software to enable the appropriate network access. You probably then need to setup a separate AppVM that is configured to us the proxyVM. This is where your browser or other software would be configured to use the ProxyVM to access the I2P network. This is just my interpretation of what may be required but I have not tested. If you do work something out, it would be good if you can share for people in the future to have a starting point that has been tested.
