[SlimDevices: Radio] I know u've been ask all of this b4! :)

2009-10-10 Thread 4Forum

Hi there!
I am new to this, but I've managed to get squeezeboom up and running an
connected to wifi at home. Great stuff!
HOwever... I am struggling to get some of my fav radio stations through
squeezenetwork (I know, different name now).
I have followed the threads, I have read other forum posts, I have
tried snooper to tests the traffic, I have used
http://www.listenlive.eu/spain.html to check them...I have installed
alien plug in

Anyway, to the point. I have succeeded with a good bunch, but I am
struggling with a couple!

http://kissfm.en-directo.com/kissfm.asx
The main radio's URL is kissfm.es

I only seem to get the publicity intro

Some others, with the addresses of the player or options given by
snooper, are

www.los40.com/player/radio/online

www.cadenadial.com/player

http://www.m80radio.com/comunes/player/mm.php?

video=M80auth=dbEbabpbccSdJdmcya9d9dTcMbxdXbqdgbn-bkVKiS-b4-Ci-yBwCldyuJq,dbEa3bDbrdDdOdBcQcObwbBbEbD

http://www.m80radio.com/multimedia/radios.html

www.cadenaser.com/player

http://www.cadenaser.com/comunes/player/mm.php?

video=SER_AUTHauth=dbEa8d3chcdcSd7dwdjd2dobNaQbXa9cbb4-bkVKll-b4-4q-yDwDqdxtIq,dbEbUcDaxbZaAbgdZcZbudRcNc1dVcjaqci

The most I could get with these is for the stream to work for a while.
Then I got a message saying invalid URL or similar

Sorry 4 LONG msg. I hope 1 of u can simply answer in 2 secs. I am sure
it is obvious, once u know what u r doing!

THANKS 4 any advice, I mean it!

:)

Welcome to the SB world! :)

Are you accessing radio streams via SBS on your computer or MySB
online?
In either case have you tried the Search functions within?

SBS Internet Radio Search
MySB Remote Control Internet Radio Search

I'm not tech savvy enough to understand exactly what you are asking.
But I can tell you that my network is WPA2 with a 63 character key
generated from one of those web sites that randomly selects a
combination of numbers, letters, symbols.. and all of my SB players
including Radio connect fine.

All players will ask for you to enter your SSID if your SSID is hidden.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio using SlimCenter 7.3.3?

2009-10-10 Thread RichieB

How did you manage to connect your Radio to SC 7.3.3 ? When I go to My
Music and select my NAS from the libraries list, it says qnap-nas
needs to be updated to a newer version of the Squeezebox Server.

The weird thing is that when I go to Settings - Choose Player and
select my SB3, I can control the SB3 just fine (above UI issues apply),
but there is no sound from the Radio. :-(

I upgraded SC to 7.3.4 but that didn't make any difference.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Red Radio - appearance and availability

2009-10-10 Thread Ynot

I just got the red one yesterday but the only other Logitech product I
have is the Harmony One remote. Imho, the red radio seems to hide
fingerprints better than the black remote. It does seem more 'cheerful'.

The website says the remote and battery pack will go on sale next month
and retail for $40, I think. I saw a foto of the package and it looks
like you have to buy both.

Have to correct myself: on my 7.3.3 server I didn't have the corrent

Now all radio stations turn up again, some radio stations are even

Don't know why others don't play that don't give me problems with a

Yeah, I have the same problem. Until they fix this bug, you can store
your favs by going to http://www.mysqueezebox.com/settings/favorites and
typing in the url. Bit of a PITA but better than having tosearch for
your fav internet station every time.

Hope this helps.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio using SlimCenter 7.3.3?

2009-10-10 Thread simsboard

unfortunatly on my configuration it did not work - removed the line
using vi on the SBR, did a reboot and stopped the SBS7.4 on the
desktop-PC

the SBR tried then first to connect to the SBS 7.4 then it gave the
option to change to another server
I saw the SC 7.3.3 on my QNAP but unfortunatly it did not connect to
it

after some time it even did not find the SC 7.3.3 any more :-( and each
time I tried to search for another server the SBR started to make very
strange things like: continue to play music even when I switched it
off,...

so thanks for hint but it looks as if I will have to wait for another
workaround!!

Actually, I think we have the same problem. When I'm connected to
mysb.com, I don't have the option to save to favorites on my radio, but
I can do so, from the web page. However, this problem doesn't exist when
I'm connected to my local squeezebox server. Do you have a local
squeezebox server? If so, try the same thing when listening to internet
radio while connected to the local server. I do see the save to
favorites option from the radio in that case.
