Tom,

As long as you are not embedding those forms as
"Additional Resources" into a compiled (.exe)
application, you can simply update the external
forms in the compiled application folder along
with all required CFG and engine DLLs.

In that scenario, you don't need to re-compile
the application anytime you make a change to a
form, report, or external files as long as they are not embedded.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak

RE: [RBASE-L] - External forms

2020-10-28 Thread Dan Goldberg
I have my rffs(external forms), database files, rbengine.dll and cfg files in
the same folder as my startup app. My startup calls the external form files.
That way if I change an external form file I can just replace it and do not
have to recompile. The users do not have to be out that way as well.

The only time I recompile the startup app is when there is an rbase update.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - External forms

I have been compiling my main menu app(external form) which includes other
external forms and each time I change one of the external forms I have to
recompile the app. If the external forms are in the same folder can I run the
app by just copying the new updated external form to that directory
