Karen,

Interesting. I may contact you after the holidays and get more feedback from
you.
This form may very well be the ticket for certain areas where the user needs
more options.
I have about 30 areas in the application (at last count) where I use the email
from within my RBASE application.

If you are going to create a "preview" form, I would display the name of the
file somewhere in a control. Put a double-click eep or a button off to the
side that would capture the name of the file and do a simple "launch" command.

Here's a form I use to allow a user to enter an email from scratch, but I'm
sure you can visualize how to use it to bring up an existing email record. The
"find" button next to the attachment field could be a "launch"

John,

Thanks for the response. Making the form as you suggested will work for most
areas.
The one area I would not know quite how to address would be attaching files
within the created form.
I have no experience with this and would not know where to begin.
Could you point me in a direction, either in the documents provided with RBASE,
or anyplace else where I could read up on this process?

Hello Jim,

With R:Mail, there is not a method to halt the sending of the message, as the
email is automatically sent to the SMTP server.

Instead, you may create a custom R:BASE form, which contains the appropriate
fields that you would like the end user to review and possibly modify, with
buttons to send or cancel the message.

With R:Mail, there is not a method to halt the sending of the message, as the
email is automatically sent to the SMTP server.

Instead, you may create a custom R:BASE form, which contains the appropriate
fields that you would like the end user to review and possibly modify, with
buttons to send or cancel the message.

We use the latest update of RBASE X.
We are in the process of implementing RMAIL (Still testing).

In one of the programs at the present time in Outlook, we use a while loop to
bring up the email prior to actually sending the email.
This gives the option for the user to not send the email. Then the loop
continues to the next email.

I do not see in the RMAIL directions where the user can see the email address
as the box comes up giving them the option to cancel that particular email.
What is the best way to give, within a while loop, the user this option of not
sending an email using the RMAIL system?
