[RBW] Christmas Goggles!

A very merry Christmastide to you all! Father Christmas Kringle gave me the 
gift of goggles so I can see on blustry bike rides. Wow! What a difference it 
makes not squinting through blowing snow and tears at 15˚F and 20ish MPH winds 
(before heading down hill!

Pudge,
It is the slightly darker Frechish blue w/ cream accents.  I have parts to 
build several complete Rivendell bikes for family members (wife, adult children 
and their future spouses) now that my fleet is complete.  So the frame only 
option is my best avenue; however I think the current deals on complete bikes 
being offered by Grant and company is a great direction to take RBW.  Although 
with a 99.5cm PBH everything currently offered is undersized for me however 
because my means has increased now my children have graduated college and both 
successfully entered the work force (my future and last Rivendell with be a 
Custom Mystery Model or Giant Multi-purpose Mixte.
I might be touching base with you about my new workshop and advise about some 
of those sweet, wood rim wheels you build.

Hi, Eric,

I'm wrong. They sew the attachment point on the wrong side for a handlebar 
bag--it would require surgery to make this work. I believe the Hobo bag was 
produced in grey and tan. I've got a tan one somewhere (probably in VT with 
my Heron). It is a great bag for machines not set up with a front rack. If 
you can live with a more-modern aesthetic, the handlebar bags generated by 
Dill Pickle are as functional and sway less.

That sure looks like a Rivendell Baggins Hobo Bag. I have one, though in 
tan. It is a wonderful bag.

The OEM for that particular object was Duluth Pack, and they still offer it 
in their line, in black:

Frost River (somehow related to Duluth Pack--maybe former employees?) also 
produces this pattern. 

I've used Duluth portaging gear since the 1970's and they really are 
well-made and no-nonsense canvas bags.
