I got my wheel from bike Friday. I also have a kid carrying Clydesdale
forked Rivendell. It’s awesome...until you get to any incline. But really
it’s a spectacular combo for a do it all semi normal cargo bike.

Thank you, David!!! I had been looking for that write up and pic, but had

That’s a mighty fine color, too. I think they were considering orange,

I guess with the lockdown, there hasn’t been many visitors to test ride.

2020-09-04 Thread Garth

Laing, I know Araya like to label their rims with such numbers, but it's
not the actual width of the rim. Like my '83 Stumpie Araya 7x rim said 26 x
1.75. It was a hair over 32mm wide from measuring it, certainly not 45mm
wide ! I'm pretty sure they intend the number to mean the minimum width
tire.

read. A series of east-west trending Miocene volcanic plugs, ending at

[RBW] Has anyone ridden the Platypus demo bike that can offer an opinion?

2020-09-04 Thread Bicycle Belle Ding Ding!
I really am interested in whatever we can know about this bike. Riv has been
slow to release info on the Platypus, probably because they are so backed up
getting the Guses/Susies and Clems shipped to their owners and because they
have reduced hours since COVID. I’m hopeful they will release info soon though;
they did post a photo of an unpainted Platypus that they said would arrive
painted at HQ towards the end of August.

2020 has been a slog. I’d like some good news and something to be happy about.
I hope it comes in the form of a new bike. A Platypus bike.

Lots of places to buy new, but if you have a local shop, you might see if
you can dig around the junk pile for a bmx wheel. Two things to keep in
mind if going this route, which you may know but just in case--there are
