[RBW] FS: Small HubbuHubbuh tandem
I mentioned this bike on here once before. Everyone agreed it would be a great deal, but it seems those who want one already have one. So, small (fits me fine at 5'10", but my stoker is 5'1") HubbuHubbuh with SON dynohub, Nitto front rack, Wald basket, B headlight, Rich Lesnick wheels, and more for $1300 obo. Details here: https://louisville.craigslist.org/bik/d/louisville-rivendell-hubbuhubbuh-tandem/6918473708.html I can't ship it, and it doesn't fit well on my bike rack, so delivery is problematic. I'll also throw in a hitch-mount tandem rack that I couldn't get to fit it properly, but with some ingenuity (that I lack) it'll work. Please buy this bike. I must get rid of it, as it's sitting in my kitchen, annoying my wife. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. [RBW] Re: FS: Riv HHH Tandem (small)
Yep, it's a deal, but I also know that selling niche market bikes like this is difficult. On Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 3:57:24 PM UTC-4, Max S wrote: > > Omg, this is an amazing deal. [RBW] FS: Riv HHH Tandem (small)
Due to life changes, this bike has barely been ridden. It's a small size (Grant's recommendation: I'm 5'10", my wife, 5'1") blue-ish color. SON hub, rear disc brake, Schwalbe SuperMoto tires, Brooks saddles. It's been parked in my kitchen for nearly a year. I don't have any pictures available right now, but can later, if there's interest. I'll let it go for a steal. $2500 firm. I'm not sure about shipping - it's too big. I'm in Louisville, KY, and would be willing to haul it a reasonable distance. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. [RBW] Re: Who's ridden a Steamroller and can compare to the Quickbeam?
I rode a friend's Quickbeam a few years ago. I enjoyed it. I ended up buying an All-City Space Horse frameset and having that built into a single-speed. It has canti brakes and semi-horizontal dropouts. I like the way it rides more than the QB.Different build and personal preference probably have more to do with it than anything else. I've never ridden a Steamroller. On Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 10:33:26 PM UTC-4, tc wrote: > > I'm getting the single speed itch. Quickbeam's (62ish) are so hard to > find. [RBW] Re: Finally building up the Hubbah Hubbah- any tips?
I don't think the timing chain is that big of a deal. I have an old crappy tandem with an eccentric bottom bracket. Adjusting it's not been difficult. My HHH is on order. I do intend to let my bike shop handle the build though - mostly due to front derailleur issues (I'm lousy at that part) I'll be watching this thread with interest. :) On Friday, October 20, 2017 at 8:55:18 AM UTC-4, Tim wrote: > > I just ordered the wheels and stoker Bosco bars from Riv for the tandem. [RBW] Re: Dyno hub/light vibrations through handlebars question...
The vibration is normal. Where the light is mounted makes no difference, but the amount of current it's pulling can. If you like to leave your headlight on, the lights with daytime running-lights should reduce vibration during the day. I have an older SON28 powering a BM Cyo and I can feel vibration even at 14mph. It's not horrible, just noticeable. On Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 5:42:20 PM UTC-4, Lungimsam wrote: I have a SON Deluxe wide body hub with an upside down Edelux II light. The light is great, but I feel some vibration in the handlebars when the bike is over 20mph. 1. Is this normal for this kind of hub? 2. Is there any way to get rid of the vibrations? Light is mounted to my front rack eyelet. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. [RBW] Re: MonsterCross Hilsen!
That's too nice of a bike for Gravel Grovel. I did that race twice and enjoyed it. I'm not doing it this year. I know it's not all about looks, but to me, it just looks perfect. I've always loved monster cross style bikes I suppose.
