2010-04-11 Thread newenglandbike
+1, you could be searching for a 62 after all.

In the photos of your 64cm QB it looks like your stem was pretty long
(10 or 11 cm?)- you could probably do well on a 62cm as the
difference in reach would be dramatic with a shorter stem, maybe in
the 8-9cm range.

Per your advice I spent a little piece of my Easter Sunday setting up
my handlebar bag decaleurless.  It sets up awesome.  The floor of the
bag has a velcro'd in stiffener board, and all the corners are leather
trimmed, which makes the whole cube pretty darned stiff.  It's lashed
twice to the platform and once to the vertical loop, so I am in like
 Flynn.

Hey, William.  So, some bags are stiff enough to run without decaleurs

I see you are running a 'handlebar bag' on the rack without a

I have a couple front bags that I think were built with a decaleur in
mind, but I haven't gotten around to setting them up.  It never
occurred to me to just try using them without a decaleur at all.  I
already have the Nitto Mini front.  Should I just run it and be
happy?  The bags have a leather strap to wrap around the upright loop
of the Nitto Mini.  They also have straps to lash to the platform.
Maybe a decaleur would just be redundant

Regular QB build... but with Mavic MA3 rims, White Industries 17/19
