We also carry new parts and occasionally have a new bike or two for sale. In addition, we are a full service repair shop: tune ups, brake or shifting adjustments, wheel building, flat fix, etc. I needed a new brake cable. The guys in the shop were very helpful and friendly. Let me fix the bike in the shop, and showed me a cool trick: heating cable end with a butane lighter; melting a mardi gras bead on as a cable end. I've since stopped by a few times. They have a selection of used bikes for sale, reasonable prices, some with relaxed geometries. When West of Walnut Creek, they're a favorite. I've also had good experiences at Valencia Cyclery on Valencia of course. Pretty much diagonally across the street from RItual Coffee. American Cyclery would be the closest, and one of the best/oldest. Especially good if you like track/fixed gear stuff- it's been one of THE sources for fixed gear stuff since the 1940's. Corner of Stanyan and Frederick: http://americancyclery.com/ If you can make it to the Mission, Box Dog Bikes (14th @ Gurrero) is a great shop, a worker owned co-op with a great selection of Rivendell/ Velo-Orange/BOBish/Rando-type parts. It's my LBS. http://boxdogbikes.com/ On Jan 30, 11:44 am, Eric Norris campyonly...@me.com wrote: Anybody have a recommendation or two for a great bike shop in SF near the USF medical center? --Eric campyonly...@me.comwww.campyonly.comwww.wheelsnorth.org --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. And if you hit up Box dog your pretty close to Freewheel and Valencia Cycles, both on Valencia. I like Freewheel, nice guys. Box Dog is really cool. I think you mean UCSF right? In the sunset? If so, although it's at the beach, The Bike Nook. http://www.bikenook.com/ I liked the Freewheel location in the Western Addition, by USF, more than the Mission location. I also like City Cycle although I think it's changed since Clay's passing--http://www.citycycle.com/index.htm --mike --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. I actually really love San Francisco Cyclery on Stanyan. http://www.sanfranciscocyclery.com/ Good mix of racey, bob-ish and commuter stuff. Really nice, helpful staff. My brother bought a Surly LHT there and I a very nice ibex wool jersey. Zac Mike wrote: I think you mean UCSF right? In the sunset?
