Or if you have to be in portrait you can run strut from peak to gutter and
then add your rails to that. A little cumbersome and more material costs,
so if you can get away with landscape it's definitely better.

You can get some pretty exotic polymers if you want to go that route. I've
used Kynar before in strongly oxidizing environments; although, I've never
used it with a PV install. 

On a related note, does anyone have any experience with Dura-Con or similar
products? That might be an alternative to plastic washers.
