[Repeater-Builder] B/R piston trimmer options
Hi Guys, with all the data available on the RB page and the many publications that I can lay my hands on, I am still looking for the optimum capacitor value for a UHF duplexer. Shall I use 1-5 or 1-10 pF for the piston trimmer attached to the single loop i.e. (CTP) MVM006 or (CTP) 4335 from surplussales.com 73 JG - VK4JKL

[Repeater-Builder] Re: OT - Triplett 310
Mike, I didn't know if you were determined to make your own leads or not. But if you are interested, you can get just about anything you want for your Triplett meter at the following website. http://www.byramlabs.com/triplett.php http://www.byramlabs.com/triplett_leads.php I have no affiliation with the site. I just know of them because last Christmas I spruced up an old 310 for my grandfather-in law. He was a long time employee of old Ma Bell and used the 310 for years. He said to me one day I just can't use those dam digital meters! So, I figured I would fix up an old one for him ... and that's the rest of the story -Albert --- In Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com, Mike Morris wa6...@... wrote: Thanks for the lead to those items. [Repeater-Builder] Using IC-F1010 x 2 as repeaters???
hi. Can our radiogrop use icom icf1010 as a repeater? Where can we get info and connection equitment? Thanks and best regards la4vna, Harald
Re: [Repeater-Builder] Using IC-F1010 x 2 as repeaters???
You will need to utilise the OPC-617 interface leads. With these you can configure the radios as a Basic Repeater. Just a simple process of bringing out the DB9 sockets from the OPC-617 to a common mating block with a trimmer pot between the audio out and mic in ports for setting up line levels and tying the Busy Out to the TX line. Just bear in mind that you are dealing with mobiles that exhibit little selectivity and a very low TX duty cycle, so not the best choice to deploy in RF dense locations and if you are planning to utilise the repeater in a high duty cycle situation. RE: [Repeater-Builder] GE Master Exec 50W Low Band 42-50 Splitt PA needed
Wayne, Please share with the Group the details of the failure. Was the PA properly modified to operate efficiently at 6m, or was it a stock 42-50 split PA? If not, at what power level was it being used? If the PA was unmodified and being operated well outside of its intended band, I guess the tried and true description means that it worked well- for a while- despite being misapplied! 73, Eric Lemmon WB6FLY -Original Message- From: Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com [mailto:repeater-buil...@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Wayne Sent: Friday, June 04, 2010 7:06 AM To: Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Repeater-Builder] GE Master Exec 50W Low Band 42-50 Splitt PA needed After years of operation our tried and true 6M repeater died.
