[Repeater-Builder] Motorola PL board for Mitrek. Model HLN-4181A - How do I change the PL settings???
Hi All, I have the above PL board in a Mitrek Low-VHF model radio I am modifying. I want to be able to use the onboard PL, and feed an output to my controller. I do not have any information on how to reprogram the PL to anything different, and also where to tap a switching voltage to the Controller PL input. Any advise please. Kev. YAHOO! [Repeater-Builder] HELP - Mitrek Key.
HELP, I have just tried to open my newly aquired 6mtr mitrek, with the key that I had for my 10mtr mitreks. This key opens all 6 radios I have, brought at different times, from different sources across the State. I found that it would not open. The cut is the same and fits in okay Are there different keys for different mitrek?? If so, can someone advise how I can get into the radio, so I can work on it. Regards Kevin. Yahoo! [Repeater-Builder] Can a 50Mhz Model be made to full-Duplex?
Hi All, I have a Mitrek for 50Mhz, I want to convert it for use as a 6mtr repeater. Question is, is it possible to make it as a repeater from a single unit, or do I need two radios? I have all the information on converting, as I built units for a 10mtr repeater, and a 2mtr unit. If I can not use it I will use it as a base radio for 6mtrs. Regards Kev. Yahoo! Good idea, did not think about this option. This will serve our situation well. And will be an easy fix. [Repeater-Builder] Two CTCSS Tones out of One TX
Hi All, I am wanting to use one TX from our repeater site, to link to two link RX's, these are on opposite sides of the repeater. I was thinking about having two different CTCSS tones, one for each, and then having the TX generate the two tones together. This way I can use one freq., but still have some form of control over the links by switching either, or both CTCSS tones off/on as required. Any ideas, or comments on this setup would be helpful Regards Kev. Get Skype and call me for free. YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS Visit your group "Repeater-Builder" on the web. [Repeater-Builder] Yahoo Groups Question for Messages to Repeater Builder - OT
Hi Guys, Sorry for the bandwidth, but I have a small problem when sending messages to the group. It does happen on the other groups I belong to. I used to be able to see any message I sent to the group, however other the past 6 months when I send a message, I do not get a forward message from the server. It was nice to see it come back, as it told me the message made it to the group. Like this message, I will not see that it has been received unless I go into the yahoogroups web-page for Repeater Builder. Would anyone have any ideas what may be wrong, I have checked my setup for yahoo, and can not see anything to cause this problem. Regards and Thanks Kevin. YAHOO! [Repeater-Builder] Doug Hall Voter Manual Required
Hi All, I have a Doug Hall 4RV/2 voter. I am in the process of connecting the unit up, but I can not find my manual to wire and set it up. I have connected up 3x receivers to the inputs, and toggled the switches to operate, but the voter does not trigger any of the lines. So I need to check the manual for information. So if someone has a copy of it online, could I please request a copy. Regards Kevin, ZL1KFM. Yahoo! Re: [Repeater-Builder] Happy Holidays
This looks like it could be the result of a virus, I have received the same message from 5 different sources so far. Be careful, if it is genuine, sorry for the concern, but the same message, sounds foul. [Repeater-Builder] Cabling for Interconnect on Newly Built Duplexer
Hi All, I have just built a new set of 6x filters into a duplexer on 2m. The problem I now have is what length do I make the interconnecting cables between each filter, and then the output cables to feed 1x antenna. I have read some information on this subject, however they do not appear to agree with each other. One says a 1/4 wave of the freq. required for the interconnect, another says any length, in multiplies of 1/4 wave. And for the output/input, it says 1 length a 1/4 wave to a "TEE" with the other 1/2 wave, and again another piece of information says both the same length to the "TEE". If I could get the correct information, I will build the 2m duplexer, then maybe look at building some UHF filters as well. BTW, filters are commercially made by Deltec, a NZ based firm.
