Ground clearance of at least 12 inches is recommended for city driving. 14. If it's 100 degrees, Thanksgiving must be next weekend. 15. If it's 10 degrees and sleeting/snowing, then there's a Festival going on somewhere in the Dayton area. (If you work at Wright-Patt, there's a 95% chance you'll have a fire drill).

I have used a 225 watt Purc as a transmitter for many years. The 2732 can be read and modified using a R1800 programmer with MSF software and programmer. Just read and edit the freq, don't start from scratch. The audio and ptt are injected at the local mic RJ connector. I can do the 2732 for you if you would like. Hi Guys, We run Motorola SpectraTac on all of our systems. I also use some with normal staus tone operation and some set up for fixed gain with cor from the link receivers. Hi John, I have had numerous CE15's and they are nice monitors. The freq display is simply a digital volt meter off of the vco control line. It is not very accurate, just within a couple of meg. I can see the 35khz low if of pagers with no problem. The dvm on my current CE15 bottoms out at 003 mhz but the analyzer sees down to dc just fine. Glenn W8AK

When bringing commercial duplexers down try a trick that I use. Temporarily lengthen the cables by inserting 'right angle' adapters in each line. Measure the speaker lines. On most Motorola portables and now mobiles the audio output is balanced and will bias high when the audio pa turns on, I have used this as a cor and it works great. Well, I done it on our repeaters. We run SpectraTac. Originally I ran link transmitters constantly keyed. Some are still that way. I have also converted SQM's to use cor from a link receiver. Required replacing the agc cap c9 with a fixed resistor to maintain a constant agc level. Disabling the line fail detector, etc. I even run converted and regular sqm's in the same comparator. [Repeater-Builder] Maxtrac conversion to 220?
Just wondering if anyone else has attempted to convert a vhf Maxtrac to 222mhz? I would be interested in the results. I was able to get the receiver to go up and meet original specs easily. Even the exiter went easily. The pa seems to be my biggest hurdle. Hoped someone else may had broken this ground before. I am going to install one now as our repeater receiver. I have used the 2175 hz status tone encoder module with Maxtrac receivers. Works great... Also have converted the SpectraTac comparator to work with 24/7 links with status tone and also using some with cor, without using the 2175 generator at the receive end. Status tone does set the agc in the sqm. Very impotant when using phone lines with varying losses. When using rf links with fixed levels a simple mod makes the agc constant.
