[Repeater-Builder] Need Info on - Sigma DX26FB Duplexer

2009-02-04 Thread wehrme
It is a 6 cavity unit and info tag says 230~235mhz.

Very small unit.. each cavity tube is about 1.5 square x 4 long.
Built like a Cellwave or Sinclair.

Made by Sigma Wireless Technologies in Ireland.

Tried sending a request to the company, but it has been sold and the
new company doesn't have any information.

Would like to possibly use it for a 10-15w 220mhz repeater.

Anyone here have any information on this unit?

Thanks
Mike, KO9I

[Repeater-Builder] DB-4087 Duplexer

2006-02-26 Thread wehrme
Hi All,

I have a DB-4087 duplexer (Decibel Products), and was wondering if
anyone might by chance have a copy of the literature that goes with
this model.

I have already tried DB Products and they no longer have any of the
documentation, or so they said.

This duplexer is quite old... guessing mid 1980's generation.

It is UHF, was used at 463.7 / 468.7mhz.

I found a site that has tons of literature/discriptions/owners
manuals about duplexers, but this model is not there.

Anyone have any help, or perhaps using one?

As always Tnx,
Mike, KO9I

[Repeater-Builder] Re: Alinco Ham Repeater??????

Chris, They make EXCELLENT repeaters for ham use. We have a pair of
Alinco DR-235 220mhz radios on our repeater. I interfaced them to an
ACC RC-85 controller. The TX drives a TE Systems 100watt amplifier into
a 6cavity sinclair duplexer. The RX has an ARR pre-amp with great
results (little to no desense @ 100watts). Highly recommended.

Andy,

Our ham group is real interested in using this type of setup.

How is your repeater physically set up? We were worried that with only
1.6meg tx/rx spacing, that we would experience extreme desense.

Did you mount the radios in their own rf boxes etc? Anything that we
should be looking out for? Help appreciated.

Tnx Mike KO9I

I would say that the price is a bit high for what are described as
2 mobiles
with no duplexer and no mention of a controller.

I was looking at the DRx35 series radios as candidates for just
such a setup
for temporary crossband repeaters. They look interesting.

My thoughts exactly... How hard is it to couple the transceivers? The
asked price vs. the mobile radios is approx. + $250. I would hope
that the interface is more than a couple molex connectors and 3 or 4
wires.

Listening for someone who's been there... (over)
