None of us would even take a chance with a Hamtronics repeater, they are known for their spurs and intermod. None of us would risk causing interference or worse getting a visit from the Feds.

Hamtronics has always made type-accepted versions of their repeaters. Should say so on the label on the back, if it is. If he has one of those models, he's safe.
