After I publish a review, I do see an email. I was hoping that I get

What SMTP server are you using, and is it on the same machine?

What action are you performing where you expect e-mails to be sent?

Are the recipients on mailing lists, or individuals? Gmail/Yahoo/etc, or

Hi guys,

I'm hoping to create a sample extension for this in time, but honestly, there's
work that still needs to be done for this. The extension support we added is
intended to be experimental and incomplete, and we'll be adding to it over
time. I imagine we'll start to make custom fields work well in an early 1.7.x,
but I don't have a date for you right now, as there are things we have to get
to before we can do this well.

Re: Email setup help

2012-12-26 Thread Christian Hammond
Hi Peer,

We don't e-mail when closing review requests. We only e-mail for new updates
and reviews/replies.

I'd be happy to take a patch that provides it and makes it optional (off by
default in order to not increase e-mail load).

Is it possible yet to add fields that can only be read/written via the
API? It's a bummer if we can't see the name of the request branch on the
web interface, but if we can get/set it through the API, I could at
least write a functional 'git rb merge'.

Is the rc_files_api_access.patch change in rhodecode upstream? I'm not

Regarding comment #3, You need to make sure the web server has permission
to write to the /var/www/reviewboard/htdocs/media/uploaded/files directory.
This ought to be showing you an error when you look at any page but I guess
the API is different.
