Is there any way to save queries in RT so that you don't need to rebuild
certain queries over and over?

[rt-users] Upgraded RT 3.4 to 3.6

2008-04-08 Thread Jeffrey Lee
Hi everyone,

I just performed a fresh install of RT 3.6 on an Ubuntu 7.10 box and wanted
to migrate my old RT 3.4 system to this new box. So I migrated the data from
my RT 3.4 to 3.6 box. All seems to be well, except for my root account
password needed to be reset and the General Queue needed to be redescribed.

I am curious since I am a RT rookie, will I run into any problems with this
type of upgrade/migration?

I'm not having a problem with postgresql it's just that I followed the

Jeff,

The wiki has some information about changing DB backends between
PostgreSQL and MySQL. I am curious about why you are moving to a
MySQL backend? Is there a particular problem or need that you are
trying to address?

Cheers,

So When I create and assign tickets in RT the ticket shows the outgoing

[rt-users] e-mail not working

2008-01-31 Thread Jeffrey Lee
Hi guys,

So I finally got Rt up and running but i am having problems with the
outgoing e-mail. The only time RT will send an e-mail is if I manually type
an e-mail within the CC field of a ticket and update it. It will not send to
a requestor nor a user when they are assigned a ticket. This is probably a
simple fix. Any ideas?

Stage, not mode. Edit the scrip in the UI and check that the stage is not
set to Disabled.

Did you add it as a 'smarthost' or 'relayhost'. It should be:

Edit /etc/postfix/main.cf, and add or edit this line:
relayhost = your.server.com http://your.server.com/

I'll be honest, I'm a Linux noob, I am running Debian and I used 'dpkg
-reconfigure postfix' for it to walk me through the questions. But I
checked my 'main' config file and it shows my smarthost as the relayhost
entry.
