[rt-users] Installing and Configuring Asset Tracker in RT
I have installed and configured RT 4.05 and working perfectly now. I will like to add Asset Tracker to RT to track all asset that we purchase in my organization. How do I go about installing AT onto RT? Thanks, Haji
[rt-users] ActiveStatus configuration has been replaced by the new Lifecycles
What does this warning mean and how do I correct it? [Sun Jun 24 10:38:22 2012] [warning]: The ActiveStatus configuration has been replaced by the new Lifecycles functionality. You should set the 'active' property of the 'default' lifecycle and add transition rules; see RT_Config.pm for documentation. (/opt/rt4/sbin/../lib/RT/Config.pm:766) Thanks, Haji
Re: [rt-users] Issue with Fetchmail

Where do I go to change the ticket status to show Resolved instead of stalled. I added resolved in RT_SiteConfig.pm, but it did not change after doing so. Thanks,

[rt-users] RT on Ubuntu 12
Has anyone have luck setting up and configuring RT on Ubuntu 12.04. I have done everything thus far, but I am having issue with my apache2 configuration. This is what I have in my configuration: AddDefaultCharset UTF-8 perlsetEnv RT_SITE_CONFIG /etc/rt4/RT_SiteConfig.pm DocumentRoot "/opt/rt4/share/html" Order allow, deny Allow from all SetHandler modperl PerlResponseHandler Plack::Handler::Apache2 PerlSetVar psgi_app /opt/rt4/sbin/rt-server use Plack::Handler::Apache2; Plack::Handler::Apache2->preload("/opt/rt4/sbin/rt-server"); #tail -n2 /etc/apache2/sites-available/default #Include "/opt/rt4/apache2-modperl2.conf" When I comment out "use Plack::Handler::Apache2;", apache2 does not give me any error, but I am not able to bring up rt via the web.

Re: [rt-users] Help installing RT4 on Ubuntu
Now RT is coming up, but I noticed couple of things: 1. It seems like RT is using sqlite database instead of mysql. (How do you make RT to use mysql? If I make the changes in RT_SiteConfig.pm to use mysql, will it work?) 2. How do I make RT to work without the /rt path in the RT_SiteConfig.pm? Also, If I want to configure LDAP authentication, how do I go about accomplishing that since the installation was done via aptitude? Last but not least I have a backup database from another RT server version 3.8, which was mysql database, how do I go about restoring the database from the fron-end, if possible? If Ubuntu does the same as Debian then you can find an example under /etc/request-tracker4. I suspect that you don't have a config under /etc/apache2/sites-available for RT, and/or not a link to the RT apache config under /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/ Make sure you have the RT config in there and a link under sites-enabled, after that restart apache2 and it should work (if the config is correct). [rt-users] Anonymos login without password
Since I am using RT for just internal and I have lazy staff who thinks using password for everything is not a good idea, how do I set RT so there is no login for general staff to create tickets and search tickets for solutions to repeated issue? I also want a special login for just Admin so they can keep track of the tickets coming in? An example will be the normal url taking the staff directly to ticket creation and normal url slash admin takes RT admin to a login page to manage tickets. http://helpdesk.rt.com and http://helpdesk.rt.com/admin Thanks Discover RT's hidden secrets with RT Essentials from O'Reilly Media.
