[rt-users] 3.8.1 Missing tabs and modifying create.html

2009-03-19 Thread G.Booth

Hi All(first time mailer, please be gentle :-])

Ive upgraded a test box from 3.6.5 to 3.8.1 (running a
relatively old kernel for fedora core
- 2.6.26.8-57.fc8) and have hit an odd problem with the
menu tabs for Preferences. All other tabs appear
correctly.
/User/Prefs.html has

 /Elements/Header, Title=loc(Preferences)
 /User/Elements/Tabs,
    current_tab = 'User/Prefs.html',
    Title=loc(Preferences)

the tabs file exists yet is being ignored - this isnt a
local version of the Prefs file.
Take another eg Tools

 /Elements/Header, Title = loc(Tools)
 Elements/Tabs,
    current_tab = Tools/index.html,
    Title = loc(Tools)

and all is well

the only difference is the line after these

 /Elements/ListMenu, items = $tabs

Prefs is different

 /Elements/ListActions, actions = \...@results

but Im sure this is a red herring

Im logged in as an RT Administrator so Im fairly sure its
not a permissions thing and I can modify the path to cause
the system to barf if it cant find the tabs file. It just
seems to ignore it.

My second question is more of a development one regarding
Create.html, specifiaclly in Self Service.
In order to get the same name everytime through the self
service interface I want to modify the requestor field so
it doesnt allow change (e.g. is no longer an INPUT box).
This way the user is locked and always
$session{CurrentUser}-EmailAddress.

This is the snip of code Im trying to replace in
SelfService/Create.html

tr
td class=label
|/lRequestors/:
/td
td class=value
 /Elements/EmailInput, Name = 'Requestors', Size =
'20', Default = $session{CurrentUser}-EmailAddress
/td
/tr
tr

Closest I ve got is to turn both it and the cc field into
unchangable text, but I cant seem to get just the
requestor field.
Was hoping there was an easy way to do this, preferably
without having to drastically modify Create and
EmailInput.

Like I said any thoughts gratefully received

Regards

garry

[rt-users] 3.8.1 and RTAddressRegexp

2009-01-09 Thread Scott Sherrill
Our RT server (support.remc1.net) has three email addresses forwarding
in for email requests.

supp...@support.remc1.net
supp...@remc1.net - supp...@support.remc1.net
helpd...@bhkfirst.org - supp...@remc1.net

Since upgrading to 3.8.1 (from 3.6.X), any mail sent in from an address
other than supp...@support.remc1.net does not generate an autoreply.

All followup correspondence does deliver fine.

I thought the issue was in either
RedistributeAutoGeneratedMessages or RTAddressRegexp

I have tried many combinations of settings for those two variables but
no change has happened. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

I have also for fun tried modifying the scrip Create - Requestors and
changed it from Autoreply to Requestors to Notify Requestors - that
didn't work either.

Am I going down the wrong track?

Thanks in advance for any pointers,

Scott

[rt-users] 3.8.1 - New upgrade slow on 'New Search click

2008-12-18 Thread kem cho
Stuart,
I am experiencing exactly same issue that you are seeing with your upgrade.
Difference is that I went from version 3.2.2 to 3.8.1. Followed directions from
README and UPGRADING.
My new server is running suse 11; mysql 5.0.51; perl 5.10

I am not sure if there is any solution on this issue?

Are you still exeriencing the same problem?

Thanks

[rt-users] 3.8.1 - New upgrade slow on 'New Search click

2008-12-03 Thread Stuart Browne
Hi,

After doing a 3.8.1 upgrade (install into new directory, upgrade db from
3.6.5), clicking on 'Tickets' / 'New Search' causes a 10-15 second pause.

Digging through the active queries when that occurs shows the following query:

SELECT DISTINCT main.* FROM Users main CROSS JOIN ACL ACL_4 JOIN Principals
Principals_1 ON ( Principals_1.id = main.id ) JOIN CachedGroupMembers
CachedGroupMembers_2 ON ( CachedGroupMembers_2.MemberId = Principals_1.id )
JOIN Groups Groups_3 ON ( Groups_3.id = CachedGroupMembers_2.GroupId ) WHERE
(Principals_1.Disabled = '0') AND (ACL_4.PrincipalType = Groups_3.Type) AND
(Principals_1.id != '1') AND (Principals_1.PrincipalType = 'User') AND
(ACL_4.RightName = 'OwnTicket' OR ACL_4.RightName = 'SuperUser') AND
(Groups_3.Domain = 'RT::Queue-Role') AND ((ACL_4.ObjectType = 'RT::Queue') OR
(ACL_4.ObjectType = 'RT::System'))  ORDER BY main.Name ASC

Eww.

Anyway. The explain on this shows:

*** 1. row ***
   id: 1
  select_type: SIMPLE
table: main
 type: range
possible_keys: PRIMARY
  key: PRIMARY
  key_len: 4
  ref: NULL
 rows: 65
Extra: Using where; Using temporary; Using filesort
*** 2. row ***
   id: 1
  select_type: SIMPLE
table: Principals_1
 type: eq_ref
possible_keys: PRIMARY
  key: PRIMARY
  key_len: 4
  ref: rt3.main.id
 rows: 1
Extra: Using where; Distinct
*** 3. row ***
   id: 1
  select_type: SIMPLE
table: CachedGroupMembers_2
 type: ref
possible_keys: DisGrouMem,CachedGroupMembers3
  key: CachedGroupMembers3
  key_len: 5
  ref: rt3.Principals_1.id
 rows: 1
Extra: Using where; Distinct
*** 4. row ***
   id: 1
  select_type: SIMPLE
table: ACL_4
 type: range
possible_keys: ACL1
  key: ACL1
  key_len: 54
  ref: NULL
 rows: 82
Extra: Using where; Using index; Distinct
*** 5. row ***
   id: 1
  select_type: SIMPLE
table: Groups_3
 type: eq_ref
possible_keys: PRIMARY,Groups1,Groups2
  key: PRIMARY
  key_len: 4
  ref: rt3.CachedGroupMembers_2.GroupId
 rows: 1
Extra: Using where; Distinct

Using google, two possible matches were found.

- One of the queues has a 'Group Right' allowing 'Everyone' to 'Own Ticket'. I
have gone through all our queues, found one queue with this permission.
Removed the permission, issue still persists. I've even gone through and
verified disabled queue's group rights.

- The explain shows 'Using filesort' and the 'tmp_table_size' should be
increased. Changing this to 4 times the default has had no effect. This
coupled with the fact that our DB isn't that big.

So, I was wondering if anybody else was experiencing this pause, and preferably
if anybody knows what's causing it so I can fix it.

Thanks

Stuart J. Browne

Has anyone had any luck with these attachment problems? It's not a top
priority for me but it would certainly be nice if we can get it working.

Shouldn't at this point, but there is a chance that later we'll have

Could you please send us output of SHOW CREATE TABLE Attachments; SQL

[rt-users] 3.8.1 RTx-EmailCompletion plugin howto

2008-09-26 Thread Auch, Benjamin
RTx-EmailCompletion by Nicolas Chuche

When installing the RTx-EmailCompletion on RT 3.8.1

1) Install the plugin per the instructions here:
http://search.cpan.org/~nchuche/RTx-EmailCompletion-0.05/

2) In your RTHOME/etc/RT_SiteConfig.pm enable the plugin like:
Set(@Plugins,(qw(RTx::EmailCompletion)));

3) Because of (something) it installs to the plugin/EmailCompletion
directory instead plugin/RTx-EmailCompletion
Create a symlink to the RTx-EmailCompletion directory:
ln -s RTHOME/local/plugins/EmailCompletion
RTHOME/local/plugins/RTx-EmailCompletion

Start/Stop apache2 and/or clear the mason cache (I just reboot) and it
should work.

(Side note, this might be fixed in the 0.05 version, I started with 0.04
and upgraded to 0.05 but still had the problem)

Re: [rt-users] 3.8.1 -- Ticket Search doesn't find requestor?

2008-09-09 Thread RT
All -

The issue still exists, and I'm hoping the following details can shed
some light on things (and hopefully keep someone else from running
into similar problems!).

About my configuration:

CentOS 5.2 (all updates applied)
mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.45, for redhat-linux-gnu (i686) using readline 5.0
Server version: Apache/2.2.3
mod_perl-2.0.2-6.3.el5 (CentOS distributed)

Summary of my perl5 (revision 5 version 8 subversion 8) configuration:
osname=linux, osvers=2.6.18-53.1.14.el5pae, archname=i386-linux-thread-multi
uname='linux builder16.centos.org 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5pae #1 smp wed
mar 5 12:07:47 est 2008 i686 athlon i386 gnulinux '

I upgraded to DBIx-SearchBuilder-1.54, per some suggestions in the
mailing list archives.

When I run a fulltext search on the requestor e-mail address, I get
the following results (see image) --

http://is.gd/2oZ6

When I use the Query Builder, the Requestors in green show up properly.

For some reason, the Requestors do not appear in the red-circled
tickets when using the Query Builder. However, when I view the ticket
itself (using Display.html?id=), the Requestor is displayed
properly under People.

It appears that one part of the database has the Requestor set
properly, but the tables that the query builder (/Search/Build.html)
uses are not finding the Requestor in the proper place.

There are no errors reported in the apache error log(s), the mysql
error log or in /var/log/messages.

Is there some database query I can run to ensure the Requestor is
populated properly where /Search/Build.html is expecting it? New
tickets don't appear to have the issue -- only legacy tickets. If
there's a query I can run, or any other information I can provide,
please let me know.

Thanks again for any assistance you can offer.

Below is the output of make fixdeps, which may shed some light on my
configuration.

If you are upgrading, even if you are not using Mysql 4.0, you should
follow the UPGRADING.mysql procedure.
This procedure produce an sql file that includes David suggestion.

Ruslan,

Here's the output:

| Table | Create Table

| Attachments | CREATE TABLE `Attachments` (
 `id` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
 `TransactionId` int(11) NOT NULL,
 `Parent` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',
 `MessageId` varchar(160) default NULL,
 `Subject` varchar(255) default NULL,
 `Filename` varchar(255) default NULL,
 `ContentType` varchar(80) default NULL,

 `Created` datetime default NULL,
 PRIMARY KEY (`id`),
 KEY `Attachments2` (`TransactionId`),
 KEY `Attachments3` (`Parent`,`TransactionId`)
) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 |

I do see differences between the above and output from a fresh install

activity. Sorry about the goose chase.

Now that the script output is *properly* applied to my DB binary attachments
are again working as expected. Thanks so much for everyone's help.

You have not applied correctly SQL queries generated by

Perhaps the script itself is poorly named, but the instructions state that
the 4.0 mysql upgrade script must be run if you are upgrading as it
 changes
 the DB schema.

It's not a script only for those running 4.x.x versions of mysql, it's for

[rt-users] 3.8.1 corrupting attachments

2008-08-21 Thread Aaron Hathaway
Is anyone else seeing problems with corrupted attachments in 3.8.x?
From what I can tell, 8-bit characters are getting stripped or altered
in mime attachments, corrupting the data.

Attached are two PDFs, the original PDF (original.pdf) and the post-RT
PDF (post-rt.pdf). The latter appears to be blank after RT receives it.
I'm also seeing corruption of MS Office documents, so this may extend to
all binary attachments.

I'm happy to submit a bug report if others are experiencing this as
well.

Cheers,

Aaron Hathaway

difference?

Thanks,

Aaron

Did you upgrade the db to 3.8.0, run the script, then update to 3.8.1?

James,

Thanks for that tip--I missed that initially. However, even after running that
script against my DB, I'm still seeing the same attachment corruption.

Regards,
Aaron Hathaway

Perhaps the script itself is poorly named, but the instructions state that
the 4.0 mysql upgrade script must be run if you are upgrading as it changes
the DB schema.

It's not a script only for those running 4.x.x versions of mysql, it's for
everyone that's upgrading.

Oh, then I don't have a good answer for you. Sorry L Maybe the list can
provide some insight.

I'm running MySQL 5.0.18, with the default latin1 character set-as I was
with 3.6.x.

  Aaron,
This happened to me when I didn't do the 4.0 to 4.1 MySQL update.

Is anyone else seeing problems with corrupted attachments in 3.8.x?
From what I can tell, 8-bit characters are getting stripped or
altered in mime attachments, corrupting the data.

Attached are two PDFs, the original PDF (original.pdf) and the
post-RT PDF (post-rt.pdf). The latter appears to be blank after RT
receives it. I'm also seeing corruption of MS Office documents, so
this may extend to all binary attachments.

I'm happy to submit a bug report if others are experiencing this as
  well.

  Cheers,

3.8.0 runs great, but yes, you will want to wait for 3.8.1 unless you
are desperate.
