SageMath's Zulip server is maintained by David Roe. See the "Infrastructure" page on SageMath's wiki. https://wiki.sagemath.org/Infrastructure Best, Samuel -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-devel" group. Re: [sage-devel] Re: trac issues
I finally tracked down the issue. Someone installed a "zulip_plugin" (actually half a dozen copies thereof) on the Trac server without my knowledge. I think I understand what this is about--I know about the Zulip server (although I have not used it myself). I keep forgetting who it is who's managing that. Anyways the plugin was causing ticket submission to hang. In the future I'm going to disable plugin upload through the website (bad for configuration management), and instead please coordinate changes to trac.sagemath.org at sagemath-adm...@googlegroups.com. That's right! This happened to me last Friday too (though it hasn't happened the last couple times I tried pushing). This happens, probably, because on the upstream repository we have a post-receive hook that updates tickets when you push to the branch for a ticket. It does this through the Trac server's XML-RPC API. Then if that ticket update request is hanging, so to does the post-receive hook, and so your client hangs waiting for the response that the push completed successfully... -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-devel" group. [sage-devel] Re: trac issues
Another (probably related) trac issue is that after typing the following command in a linux console: git push trac HEAD: everything seems OK except that one does not get the console prompt back (as if the command has not terminated). Looking at the ticket page, the push seems effective though... Eric. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-devel" group. I am also getting similar things on Firefox (or at least it taking a really long time to reload the page).
