Job Title: Business Analyst, Email Archive and Retention Project
Worksite Address:  One Ashburton Place, Boston, MA Travel between
Chelsea/MITC and Boston Agencies frequently in addition to occasional trips
to other Agency locations across the state as needed to meet with
management/customers/users.  Longer-distance travel is not expected to
occur that often but may be necessary during the planning phases of the
installation.
Project(s) Duration:  Potentially 1 year +
Hours per Week:  37.5

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accurately and concisely capture specific data and business requirements
from agencies via interviews, workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site
visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, etc. and convert those
requirements into clear, comprehensible language/diagrams. Work closely
with the Project Manager and the solutions vendor to integrate these
requirements into comprehensive, complete and accurate business, functional
and non-functional requirements.
• Working closely with the Project Manager to conduct technology reviews to
ensure that requirements and specifications are correctly interpreted for
each adopting agency.
• Working closely with the Project Manager, agency stakeholders, and
assigned project teams to prioritize and complete each agency’s specific
preparation and implementation tasks. Analyzing and verifying all
implementation plans for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility,
feasibility, and conformity to standards.
• Preparing and delivering stand-up presentations to agency groups
presenting and explaining the new product, impact and plans.
• Communicating changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally and
through written documentation to agency staff involved in the project and
other agency stakeholders so that issues and solutions are clearly
understood.
• Assisting in the development of customized training materials and
communications for specific agencies.
• Providing support from initial presentations of the new solution through
preparation, testing, and trial migrations, and ultimately full migration.
• Explaining how the proposed solution will interface with existing systems
and desktop applications.

Required (must haves):
• Experience preparing and publishing communications to senior levels of
management.
• Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis,
elicitation, verification, and documentation. Proven ability to translate
technical requirements  specifications into user-friendly language.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication
skills with all levels of staff and management, technical and
non-technical, in an organization
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Ability to organize workflow in order to accomplish multiple and changing
priorities within specified timeframes
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience working on projects with attorneys and other legal staff, and
familiarity with legal terminology.
• Experience with desktop e-mail archiving/vault solutions
• Experience developing web based documentation with tools such Confluence
or other tools
• Local, state or federal government experience

I have a 1+ year long Infrastructure Planning  Manager requirement for the
Chelsea MA

Day to Day Capacity, all as refined/assigned by the Director of IPG:
Provides analytical and technical solutions for new hosting infrastructure
projects, enhancements to existing hosted solutions, data center
infrastructure projects and MassIT/Commonwealth strategic infrastructure
projects.
Participates as assigned in infrastructure solution designs and reviews
using MassIT design process and industry best practices.
Collects and analyzes requirements and translate them into hardware and
software capabilities.  Detail and document the logical and physical
designs as per the IPG methodology, MassIT standards and ETRM (Enterprise
Technical Reference Model).
Conducts design walk-throughs for review and sign off.
Liaises and negotiates with vendors on quotes for infrastructure hardware,
software and services.
Collaborates with stake-holders to conduct and demonstrate
proof-of-concepts for new products and architectures.
Troubleshoots project issues, as appropriate.
Performs capacity planning analysis, assists clients to define technical
requirements and assists in engineering solutions in order to provide
cost-effective alternatives.
Stays engaged with multiple projects and provides architectural/design
oversight for application projects.
Performs occasional travel, weekend and evening/night support, and other
related duties, as required.

Qualifications:
Minimum five years of Information Technology experience with at least two
years of IT technical planning and architectural design experience.
Knowledge and/or certification with respect to ITIL and Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA).
Technically competent in information processing, and ability to gather and
analyze data through interview, observation, design workshops and
independent research.
Strong knowledge of computer, system and network protocols and
architectures, especially in large heterogeneous, client server
environments.
Strong knowledge of and/or experience with Internet and Intranet Web-based
architecture and services.
Demonstrated success in assessing industry trends and vendor’s competitive
offerings as part of the definition of an IT future state and for more
near-term technology assessment and selection activities.
Current knowledge/experience with SAN/NAS/HSM technologies, server
consolidation strategies, high availability and clustering strategies, LAN
and WAN technologies, security and authentication standards and
technologies, and the infrastructure requirements and approaches for
delivering IT services to customers.
Knowledge of Data Center operations and infrastructure.
Familiarity with IT business practices and ability to interface and
integrate with MassIT functional areas.
Demonstrated skills in analysis and planning, organizational proficiency
and good business judgment.
Proficient with Microsoft Visio.

We are working with the client on identifying a candidate that has
experience migrating from WebLogic 8 to JBOSS EAP 6.3.

Also if they’ve done any Maven upgrades from 1.0.2 to 3.3.1 that would be
ideal

This needs to be a fairly independent type of person that will work in a
team environment but function as an expert within the upgrade process.

Our Java based product (Works peed) is currently undergoing a partial
infrastructure upgrade.

We are upgrading from Java 1.4 to Java 1.7, migrating from Weblogic 8 to
JBOSS EAP 6.3 and upgrading Maven from 1.0.2 to 3.3.1.
We are looking to staff augment (2-3 months duration) with individuals that
have experience working with JBOSS (from the application perspective) and
Maven.

Once agencies complete the comprehensive review of their internal portal
sites and determine their migration strategy based on the options made
available, agencies will then proceed with the migration of their sites.

BADS.  As agencies complete their migrations, their WCI sites will be

Qualifications

3)  VPLEX is the storage replication technology that client has and
client has the gear, rack and stack Need an engineer who can help the
VBlocks get onto the Vplex (1 or 2 VBlocks have already been mounted). So
need to bring the remaining storage arrays for the 6 Vblocks into the VPlex
..

a.   Need hands on engineer who has done it in the past and someone who
knows how to configure the alarms, how to do zoning, what is the order of
operations so that there is no downtime, would it require reboot?

4)  V to V migration

a.   Bunch of virtual machines sitting on VBlock which are going out of
support

b.  So need to migrate them to new VBlocks in an Automated mode,
coordinate with business, secure downtime if necessary, etc

EAI MARS Service Manager – Functional leader for Monitoring, Automation and
¬Reporting Services for clients Enterprise Application Integration (EAI).



The EAI team is managing the connections, integrations and data flows with
100’s internal applications and external business partners, allowing the
client to exchange business information. This MARS service manager leads
and advises the client towards an overall vision for Monitoring, Automation
 Reporting of the EAI landscape and its operations. Systemically analyses
existing monitoring, automation and reporting capabilities within EAI and
target improved tooling, processes and organization.



Aim is to meet contractual obligations on service reporting and to reduce
operational cost (automate, avoid incidents, self-healing,...) and improve
service levels.



Requires extensive knowledge of several EAI technologies including TIBCO,
Axway and SAP PI product suites, combined with deep understanding of the
MARS capabilities offered by HP (Service Heath Analyzer SHA, Open View,..)
and on the markets (e.g. Axway Sentinel). Involves strong leadership skills
(leading small global team) and management of several overlapping projects.
Able to support new business initiatives for solutioning and pursuit (build
Business Case, SOWs, resource estimating,…) Collaborate with other Service
Excellence teams and delivery teams on the account.



Requirements:



· 5-8 years of experience with EAI technologies (TIBCO, AXWAY) from
a functional experience role ( not implementation but from an operational
view, IE data center monitoring and analysis

· Experience with HP service tools such as openview, SHA, etc.

· Project/team lead experience

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Experience as a data center service lead/manager for large global
company. Experience with retail systems a plus.

*Job Purpose:*

Primary Role of the Senior Business Analyst is to act as the liaison
between the business and IS organization to provide business critical or
complex  solutions that meet the user needs and improve business
performance by providing the analysis of business requirements, problem
solving and troubleshooting as part of a project delivery team.
Accountable for ensuring that clear, concise requirements (business and
technical) have been captured.  Drive or participate in testing, drive
issue resolution, deviations and support the production implementation
process.  Develop procedural documentation or manuals.



*Detail Job Description*

· Gather, analyse, document and manage business and user
requirements (both functional and non-functional) Identify potential
solutions for the business and provide input to issues or risks (through
solid knowledge of the business and user requirements).

· Identify project interdependencies and communicate
requirement/scope issues and participate in driving them to resolution for
inclusion in the functional specifications.

· Translate business and user requirements in to detailed system
requirements for the IT organization and manage all changes to the source
documents.

· Develops detailed requirements via interviews, documented
analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process
descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow
analysis.

· Interact and work with the development team on issues related to
coding to functional specifications.

· Ensure appropriate bi-directional tracing of project
modifications back to business and user requirements.

· Facilitate walk-through of project deliverables for endorsement
and approval.

· Create business and functional specifications for large, complex
system implementations

· Assist with the development of the testing strategy - plan
thorough requirements testing for user acceptance

· Demonstrate expert level knowledge in all systems, processes and
data relating to the assigned business or project.

· Leverage domain expertise and analyst practice expertise to
provide the most effective solutions to the business partners in the most
efficient means possible.

· Educate business partners on systems capabilities and the
feasibility of developing specific solutions.

· Leverage technical knowledge  business acumen to manage
effective working relationships with Business Relationship Mangers,
technology teams and business partners at management and end user levels.

· Manage stakeholder expectations as it relates to gathering
business requirements

· Complete all support documentation on assigned projects,
including creating and updating all user and technical procedures/manuals,
business, and functional requirements, traceability matrices, process
flows, operational support documentation and archival of all related
project documentation.

· Develop the required user acceptance test scripts if necessary.

· Oversee if requested the business execution and outcome of User
Acceptance Testing.  Work with the business to develop non-technical
workarounds or procedures if required.  Provide the project Test Manager
the summary outcome of UAT Testing etc.

· Define and monitor all implementation tasks such as the
production check-out process, including review of reports, data files and
online screens to ensure technical solutions perform according to the
specifications and meet defined business requirements

· Actively champion and contribute to the continuous improvement of
business systems analysis best practices, using innovative ideas to
increase effectiveness of the overall analyst organization.

· Provide subject matter expertise in areas including
strategy/approach, requirements gathering, process modelling, use cases and
other areas of expertise based on established business analysis tools and
techniques.

· Performs additional duties as required.



*Qualifications Required:*

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field; or
equivalent work experience.

· 5-7 years of relevant experience as a Senior Business Analyst role

· 5+ years of demonstrated experience in business and functional
requirements elicitation, translation and documentation.

· 5+ years’ experience in facilitating design and use case
discussions

· 5+ years’ experience in a SDLC environment

· Expert level analysis skills including ability to identify
patterns, potential issues and then translate those into functional and
test requirements.

Position will be responsible for building out a new v11.1.2.4 Hyperion
Planning/Essbase environment and migrating existing v11.1.2.1 Hyperion
Planning/Essbase application suites.

Coordinate project to build out upgraded Hyperion Planning and Essbase
environments

Partner with infrastructure teams to ensure new Windows server environment
is available and meet application requirements

Design Hyperion environment – including integration to LDAP, Oracle RDBMS,
Oracle Shared Services

Guide off-shore developers in building, testing and implementing upgraded
environment

Communicate status, risks and schedules across multiple project and
application teams

Solid project leadership and coordination skills

5+ years of experience with Hyperion tool s(Planning/Essbase)

Experience with Hyperion Planning/Essbase implementations and upgrades

Excellent communication (working with onshore and offshore resources)

Windows 2008 Server configuration experience a plus

Work independently – ability to identify and raise risks early
