Job Description

Experience required:

- BS in Computer Science or equivalent

- 4+ years of data analysis / data mining experience (SQL, Elastic Search /
ELK, Splunk, Hadoop, Tableau, etc )

- 4+ years of scripting experience (JavaScript, python, bash, etc)

- 1-2+ years of basic database administration (Elastic Search and Logstash
strongly preferred)



Skill requirements:

- Strong proficiency in working with time-series databases: reading and
writing queries, designing tables and indexes, data summarization and
archiving

- Experience with running a database: estimating usage, sizing out
deployments, configuring clustering, load balancing, fine tuning
performance, and similar operational concerns

- Excellent understanding of string manipulation and regex techniques for
processing unstructured data from multiple sources

- JavaScript proficiency a plus



Responsibilities:

- Operate Elastic search and Logstash infrastructure - ensure 100% uptime

- Develop Logstash configurations for indexing and storing data

- Develop Elastic search queries for retrieving data

- Work with team members to make Elastic search data consumable by apps /
services

- Analyze Elastic search system performance and scale the cluster up as
needed

Job Description:
Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following:
Work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, communicate and
validate the requirements for changes to current business reporting
requirements and policies for the development of new operational reports
and analytics.
Conduct data analysis of business and user needs and developing business
requirements documents in accordance with the requirements and protocol of
the ITS EIM Division during multiple project phases to convert the numerous
Oracle Portals, Business Areas, and Discoverer Workbooks to the current
Oracle analytical reporting platform.
Create business documentation (Business Requirement documents, use cases,
swim lanes, process documentation) that detail the Business Intelligence
reporting requirements and deliverables for OBIEE reports, dashboards, and
ad hoc tools.
Work closely with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence technical team
members and various Business Owners to create Business Requirement
documentation and to communicate the business requirements to the technical
team for development of logical and physical dimensional data model
reporting requirements.
Collaborate with data modelers, ETL developers, programmers and the
business owners to translate report requirements, provide clarification of
business rules, prioritize development, obtain signoff and ensure
successful delivery of accurate end user reporting requirements
Create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans to validate
initial business requirements and report output through the DEV, QA and
PROD migrations testing for accuracy and sign off on deliverables.

definitions, and monitor overall data quality for assigned data entities

- Work with various line of business data stewards to ensure that data
management methodologies include the steps, activities and deliverables
required to consistently achieve high data quality

- Work closely with business data owners and users to identify quality
metrics and thresholds

- Own and publish reports related to quality metrics along with root cause
analysis and mitigation options to the end user community

- Collaboratively work with TECH partners to ensure data stores and
applications adhere to defined data management practices, policies, and
procedures

- Support line of business project delivery teams in their effort to adopt
and execute on data management processes

- Partner with data stewards to assist in the identification and resolution
management of data quality issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, accuracy,
consistency, and completeness in a cost-effective and timely fashion

- Identify opportunities and implement solutions to increase team
efficiency



An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills with an excellent
track record of working in and with teams both on-site and virtually.
Being a self-starter and having the ability to deal with ambiguous
situations is also important to success.  Additionally the ideal candidate
will possess the ability to interact seamlessly with both business and
technology partners to drive adoption of EDM principles and policies across
the data enterprise.

*Desired Skills: *

Job description:

profiling.  May provide technical support on data warehouse teams.   Data
set sizes are usually huge (in excess of hundreds of millions of records).
Demonstrated ability to move from one sequential assignment to the next
(work environment and priorities can change quickly depending on business
needs).
Demonstrated ability to move data between production systems and across
multiple platforms

5+ years experience with Financial Services clients
Experience with major querying tools desired
Coordinating others work while involved with multiple work streams

No OTJ except for data and systems training
Desired
Common skill sets – Oracle, VB and UNIX 5+ years experience
OLAP/SQL Tools 5+ yrs experience with MVS, Teradata, SAS, Brio or comparable

Client needs, (1) qualified consultant to work as a Data Warehouse Data
Analyst and ETL Developer using SAP Business Objects. This position will be
responsible for designing a robust ETL architecture that supports data
movement, data cleansing and data transformation from source applications
into multiple data warehouse architectures, mapping data into the data
warehouse and designing, building and testing ETL jobs, including writing
test plans. The candidate must have extensive experience with Operational
Data Stores, Dimensional Models, and Data Marts. This role also requires
extensive Data Analysis, Data Profiling and Data Warehouse design concepts
as required to support business needs. The candidate must also manage the
