Hey Keith, send me a private email and tell me about your project... [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:Oh yeah, I caught that fight between Supes and Marvel! I recorded the show and watched it Sunday. Drove my wife crazy 'cause I kept rewinding the fight scenes over and over. I *loved* the scene when Supes punched Marvel through a building, then flew after Marvel, punching him over and over in midair! Awesome! Hey (minor spoiler) when Marvel used his magic lightning to attack Superman, he turned back into little Billy Batson. Superman didn't act surprised at all. There was nothing like, Hey you're a kid! But I thought they acted as if they'd just met, so why wasn't Superman shocked at the fact that Marvel was a kid? I was amazed that Superman went off his gourd like that. I guess that was the point, that Luthor was a known evil and Superman really felt he was saving lives. Still, to see that whole town destroyed was rough. Maybe this was actually the needed wakeup call for the League, both to watch themselves (remember the alternate reality Justice Lords started out doing good, then ended up murderous tyrants) and to start fighting back. I'd think Batman and the Question would be invaluable in that sort of fight. The conspiracy I alluded to is coming full force, isn't it? I was surprised when the general was so upset at the League satellite having the capability to fire a powerful weapon at Earth (in the episode where the League fought that ship that kept creating bio-organic creatures). I wondered if something would come of that, but look at what they're doing now: Luthor, Waller, generals, mad scientists, even Professor Hamilton, all part of a plan to control or eliminate the League! -- Original message -- This season of JLU has been terrific. Have you seen the latest episode The Clash? Superman and Captain Marvel duke it out in one of the best superhero fights I've seen in a while. Lots of mayhem and collateral damage. The episode also hammers it home that Superman, the Justice League and the world are changing. Captain Marvel reminds Supes of what he used to be and it really bothers him. He's lost his innocence and he can never get it back. From what I hear the final four episodes of the season will be quiteinteresting. --- In scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com, Keith Johnson [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I lost my cable for a couple of days, have some family stuff to deal with on the wife's side, and got serious about writing a book, which I started last week. I originally panned The Batman, but it's grown on me. Love the atmosphere. Justice League Unlimited continues to impress, if for no other reason than all the new characters they introduce. Tonight is Captain Marvel, which ought to be good. And there's a great running storyline about the US government plotting against the JL. They fear the League's power, bolstered in part by the arrival of the evil Justice Lords from another dimension ,and the recent realization that the JL satellite has a weapon on it. Amanda Waller and company have been quite conniving in the things they've done to get an edge over the League, including recently breaking into the satellite and stealing an Olympian suit of armor.
